If there’s one thing you won’t have trouble finding at Gateway Mall 2, it’s food.
The newer Gateway Mall expansion in Araneta City has turned Cubao into an even bigger dining destination, with everything from Filipino comfort food and Japanese ramen to Chinese dim sum, Italian restaurants, Korean barbecue, buffets, steak, coffee, desserts, and chef-driven international cuisine.
And we’re not talking about a tiny restaurant wing.
Araneta City says Gateway Mall 2 covers around 190,000 square meters across eight levels, with hundreds of retail, dining, entertainment, and leisure establishments throughout the development.
The official Gateway Mall 2 dining directory in 2026 includes familiar names such as Tim Ho Wan, Ramen Nagi, Shake Shack, Manam, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, Vikings Luxury Buffet, Tong Yang, UCC Park Café, The Matcha Tokyo, Conti’s, Via Mare, Sumo Niku, and dozens of other restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and quick-service outlets.
Then there’s World Kitchens on Level 4, which deserves a section of its own.
So whether you’re looking for dinner before a concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, a restaurant for a family celebration, coffee with friends, a buffet, a date-night spot, or simply somewhere affordable to grab lunch in Cubao, here’s a comprehensive guide to where to eat at Gateway Mall 2 in 2026.
Updated: August 2026. Restaurants, locations, operating hours, and menus change frequently. The restaurant lineup in this guide was checked against Araneta City’s current 2026 dining directory, but it’s still a good idea to confirm directly with the restaurant before making a special trip.

Why Gateway Mall 2 Has Become a Food Destination
Gateway Mall has always had plenty of restaurants, but Gateway Mall 2 took the dining scene to another level.
Instead of concentrating all the restaurants in a single food court, you’ll find places to eat across several floors.
There are quick-service restaurants for commuters, casual family restaurants, cafes for long conversations, premium steakhouses, large buffet restaurants, Filipino concepts, and destination dining spaces such as World Kitchens.
Araneta City originally positioned Gateway Mall 2 as a major expansion of its dining and lifestyle offerings, with the entire development now containing more than 500 retail and lifestyle outlets.
That variety is particularly useful in Cubao.
You might be at Gateway because you’re shopping.
Or you’re waiting for a bus.
Or you’ve just gotten off MRT-3 or LRT-2.
Maybe you’re attending a concert at the Big Dome.
And suddenly someone asks the inevitable question:
“Saan tayo kakain?”
At Gateway Mall 2, the harder problem is choosing from too many options.

If I were choosing one restaurant at Gateway Mall 2 for a relaxed date or a dinner where you want something a little more special, a mano would be high on the list.
The restaurant has a Gateway Mall 2 branch on the Ground Floor, according to Araneta City’s establishment directory.
a mano is known for Italian cooking centered on dishes such as handmade pasta, pizza, antipasti, and other Italian comfort food.
This is less of a “grab something quickly before the MRT” restaurant and more of a place where you’ll probably want to sit down, order several things, and enjoy the meal.
If you’re with a small group, sharing pasta and pizza is a good way to experience more of the menu.
Good for
Date night, celebrations, dinner before a show, or anyone craving Italian food.

The restaurant is associated with the late acclaimed chef Margarita Forés and became known for combining Filipino ingredients and flavors with a rustic, farm-to-table approach.
This isn’t your standard mall Filipino restaurant.
Grace Park is the type of place I’d consider if you’re eating with someone visiting Manila, celebrating something, or simply want Filipino food presented in a more distinctive way.
The restaurant was one of the original destination restaurants introduced as part of Gateway Mall 2’s restaurant collection.

Families, groups of friends, pre-concert meals, and Chinese food cravings.

Burgers, friends, families, movie nights, and casual pre-event meals.

Best for: birthdays and big appetites
For many Filipino families, the phrase “birthday celebration” eventually leads to one question:
“Mag-buffet ba tayo?”
Gateway Mall 2 has Vikings Luxury Buffet on Upper Ground B, according to the current official dining directory.
Vikings is particularly useful for large groups because everyone can choose what they want.
One person wants sushi.
Another wants meat.

Everybody wins.
Good for
Birthdays, family reunions, large groups, celebrations, and serious appetites.
Price level
₱₱₱
Reservations are worth considering during weekends and celebrations.
9. Tong Yang
Best for: hot pot and grill
Another eat-all-you-can option is Tong Yang, currently located on Upper Ground A according to Gateway Mall 2’s 2026 directory.
Tong Yang is different from a traditional buffet because the fun is partly in cooking your own food.
It’s a good group experience, especially when nobody is rushing.
Good for
Groups, families, celebrations, hot pot, and grill lovers.
Price level
₱₱₱
Don’t choose this if you have only 25 minutes before your concert starts.
This is a restaurant where you’ll want time to enjoy the meal.
10. Sumo Niku
Best for: grilled meat and unlimited-style meals
Gateway Mall 2’s official directory currently lists SUMO NIKU on Level 2.
It’s another option for diners who prefer a meat-heavy Japanese barbecue experience.
This type of restaurant works best with friends because half the fun comes from grilling, sharing dishes, and arguing over who forgot the meat on the grill.
Good for
Friends, families, hungry groups, and meat lovers.
Price level
₱₱–₱₱₱
11. Botejyu
Best for: Japanese comfort food
Botejyu’s Gateway Mall 2 branch gives diners another Japanese option beyond ramen and sushi.

Japanese comfort food, families, and casual dinners.

12. UCC Park Café

There are times when you want coffee.
And then there are times when you want coffee and an actual meal.

UCC is particularly useful for:
meeting someone, working over coffee, having brunch, or eating somewhere quieter than a typical fast-food restaurant.
Good for
Coffee meetings, brunch, casual business discussions, and catching up with friends.

13. Mary Grace Café
Best for: coffee, pasta, cakes and relaxed meals
Mary Grace is one of those restaurants that works for almost anything.

It’s a familiar choice rather than an experimental one—and sometimes that’s exactly what a family wants.
Good for
Family meals, cakes, birthdays, and comfort food.
Price level
₱₱
15. Via Mare
Best for: classic Filipino dishes
Via Mare is currently listed on Upper Ground A in the official Gateway Mall 2 dining directory.
If you’re looking for traditional Filipino dishes and merienda rather than trendy fusion food, Via Mare is worth considering.
It’s also a good option when dining with older family members who prefer familiar Filipino flavors.
Good for
Filipino meals, merienda, families, and balikbayans.
Price level
₱₱
16. Tatung’s
Best for: Filipino food
Chef Myke “Tatung” Sarthou also has a presence in Gateway Mall 2.
The current Gateway directory lists Tatung’s on Upper Ground B.
For diners interested in Filipino food, having Manam, Grace Park, Via Mare, Rosario Pamanang Panlasa, and Tatung’s all within one mall gives you several very different interpretations of the cuisine.
That’s actually one of Gateway Mall 2’s strengths.
You’re not stuck with only one Filipino restaurant.
Good for
Filipino food, families, and visitors looking for local flavors.
Price level
₱₱
17. Rosario Pamanang Panlasa
Another Filipino option in the current directory is Rosario Pamanang Panlasa, listed on the Upper Ground level.

This gives diners another alternative when Manam or other popular restaurants are full.
18. The Red Crab
Best for: seafood
Craving crab or seafood?
Gateway Mall 2 currently lists The Red Crab on Upper Ground B.
Seafood restaurants work particularly well for group meals because dishes are often designed for sharing.

20. The Matcha Tokyo
Best for: matcha lovers
If you’re the type of person who sees the word matcha and immediately walks toward it, Gateway Mall 2 has you covered.
The Matcha Tokyo is currently listed on the Ground Floor.
It’s ideal as an after-meal stop rather than a full dining destination.
Good for
Matcha drinks, dessert, snacks, and a break while shopping.
21. Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory
Also on the Ground Floor is Tokyo Milk Cheese Factory, according to the current mall directory.
It’s another good stop for sweets and gifts, especially if you want something you can bring home after your mall visit.
22. Puffy’s Souffle Pancake Cafe
For something more dessert-focused, Puffy’s Souffle Pancake Cafe is currently listed on Upper Ground B.
Soufflé pancakes are made for slow afternoons.
This isn’t necessarily where I’d go when rushing to catch the MRT, but it can be fun for dates or weekend coffee trips.
23. Starbucks
Yes, of course there’s Starbucks.
The current Gateway Mall 2 directory lists it on the Ground Floor.
For people waiting for friends, killing time before a concert, or needing coffee before continuing their commute, sometimes familiarity wins.
24. Taco Bell
For something quicker and generally easier on the budget than the premium restaurants, Taco Bell is on Upper Ground A.
It’s one of the more practical options when you’re hungry but don’t want a long sit-down meal.

Japanese rice bowls are useful when you want something filling without spending a long time dining.
Good for
Solo meals, quick lunches, students, and commuters.
World Kitchens: The Dining Destination Inside Gateway Mall 2
Now we get to one of the most interesting parts of Gateway Mall 2.
World Kitchens, located on Level 4, isn’t simply another restaurant.
It’s a dining hall built around multiple show kitchens and international cuisines, bringing different chef-led concepts together in one space. Araneta City describes it as a destination featuring culinary concepts from international and local chefs.
The biggest advantage is obvious:
Your whole group doesn’t need to agree on one cuisine.
One person can choose Chinese.
Another wants Japanese.
Someone else wants something completely different.
You can still eat together.
Current local business information lists World Kitchens on Level 4 of Gateway Mall 2, while Araneta City’s directory continues to list the venue as one of the mall’s major dining destinations in 2026.
18 Jade at World Kitchens
One of the newest additions is 18 Jade, an upscale Chinese dining concept that Araneta City says is now open inside World Kitchens.
It’s led by Chef Zhouping Liang and specializes in refined traditional Chinese cooking.
One of its signature dishes is Dry-Aged Peking Duck Two Way, alongside premium seafood and wok dishes.
This is clearly positioned above the average mall Chinese meal.
Good for
Special occasions, premium Chinese dining, family celebrations, and business meals.
Price level
₱₱₱–₱₱₱₱
World Cellar
Also on Level 4 is World Cellar, which is geared toward diners interested in wine and food pairing.
The venue continued holding wine dinners and culinary events in 2026, including a July truffle dinner featuring Filipino-Australian Chef Oli Buenviaje.
World Cellar is probably not where you’d go because you have 20 minutes before your LRT train.
It’s more of a destination.
The Whisky Bar
Another 2026 addition to World Kitchens is The Whisky Bar.
Araneta City announced its opening inside World Kitchens on Level 4 in July 2026, adding a dedicated drinking destination to the food hall.
This gives Gateway Mall 2 a late-afternoon and evening option that feels less like a traditional mall restaurant.
Other Level 4 Dining Options
Gateway Mall 2’s current official directory also lists several other Level 4 concepts, including:
Dario Pizza & More, Prana, Shinshima, Unagi Yukimitsu, World Cellar, World Kitchens, The Whisky Bar, and several smaller food concepts.
If food is the main reason for your Gateway visit, Level 4 deserves some time.
Don’t just remain on the lower floors because that’s where you first see restaurants.
Best Gateway Mall 2 Restaurants for Filipino Food
If you’re specifically looking for Filipino cuisine, Gateway Mall 2 gives you several choices with noticeably different styles.
For something contemporary and easy to share, consider Manam.
For a more upscale farm-to-table-inspired meal, look at Grace Park.
For traditional Filipino comfort food and merienda, Via Mare is worth considering.
You can also check Tatung’s and Rosario Pamanang Panlasa.
That’s enough variety to turn “Let’s eat Filipino food” into another 20-minute debate.
Best Restaurants for a Date
For a first date or an anniversary, I’d lean toward places where you can actually talk rather than eat as quickly as possible.
a mano is a strong choice for Italian.
Grace Park works if you want something distinctly Filipino.
Wolfgang’s Steakhouse is appropriate if it’s a special occasion and budget isn’t the priority.
World Kitchens can be more adventurous because you can explore different cuisines in one place.
After dinner, you can continue with coffee, dessert, a movie, or simply walk around Gateway.
That’s one advantage of having the restaurant inside such a large entertainment complex.
Best Gateway Mall 2 Restaurants for Families
Families usually need three things:
Enough menu choices, comfortable seating, and something everyone recognizes.
Good starting options include Manam, Tim Ho Wan, Conti’s, Mary Grace, Via Mare, Tong Yang, Vikings, and UCC Park Café.
For bigger families, buffet restaurants have the obvious advantage of avoiding the “I don’t like anything on the menu” problem.
Best Restaurants Before an Araneta Coliseum Concert
This is where timing matters.
If your Smart Araneta Coliseum concert begins at 8 PM, I’d avoid starting a big buffet at 7 PM.
For something relatively straightforward, look at:
Tim Ho Wan, Shake Shack, Ramen Nagi, Manam, Pound, or one of the quick-service restaurants.
If you want a proper dinner at a mano, Wolfgang’s, Grace Park, or World Kitchens, arrive much earlier.
Gateway Mall 2 sits within the larger complex surrounding the Smart Araneta Coliseum, so restaurant crowds can become much heavier before major events.
My suggestion would be to eat around 5:30–6:00 PM for an 8 PM concert.
Then you’re relaxed.
No rushing.
No checking your phone every five minutes wondering whether the opening act has already started.
Best Restaurants for Groups
For a group where everyone likes different things, World Kitchens is probably the most flexible concept.
For groups that enjoy eating a lot, consider Vikings, Tong Yang, or Sumo Niku.
For sharing dishes at the table, Tim Ho Wan, Manam, Grace Park, Via Mare, and The Red Crab all make sense depending on budget and preferences.
Affordable Places to Eat at Gateway Mall 2
Gateway Mall 2 has several premium restaurants, but you absolutely don’t need a steakhouse budget to eat there.
For a relatively quick and more affordable meal, start with establishments such as Taco Bell, Subway, Yoshinoya, or other quick-service outlets throughout the mall. The current directory confirms all three on Upper Ground A.
You can also look around the mall’s snack, bakery, drinks, and quick-service sections rather than staying exclusively in the destination restaurant areas.
Cafes at Gateway Mall 2
Sometimes the question isn’t “Where should we eat?”
It’s:
“Saan tayo magkakape?”
Your current options include UCC Park Café, Starbucks, Mary Grace Café, Puffy’s Souffle Pancake Cafe, and several dessert or drink concepts throughout Gateway Mall 2.
For a longer conversation or meeting, I’d lean toward UCC or Mary Grace.
For a quick familiar coffee, Starbucks does the job.
For a more dessert-oriented outing, Puffy’s or The Matcha Tokyo may be more interesting.
Gateway Mall 2 Restaurant Hours
Gateway Mall 2’s current general operating hours are:
| Day | Mall Hours |
|---|---|
| Sunday–Thursday | 10:00 AM–9:00 PM |
| Friday–Saturday | 10:00 AM–10:00 PM |
These are Araneta City’s currently published mall hours.
However, restaurants can have different schedules.
For example, Araneta City’s current individual establishment pages show several restaurants operating until 10 PM even on days when the mall’s general schedule may close earlier, while World Kitchens also maintains its own dining schedule.
Always check directly if you’re planning a late dinner.
How to Get to Gateway Mall 2 for Dining
One of the best things about eating at Gateway is that you don’t necessarily need a car.
You can take:
MRT-3 → Araneta-Cubao Station
or
LRT-2 → Araneta Center-Cubao Station.
Gateway Mall 2 is part of the wider Araneta City complex designed to interconnect with the MRT and LRT corridors.
That makes it particularly convenient for meetups.
One friend can come from Makati through MRT-3.
Another can come from Antipolo through LRT-2.
Someone from Manila can take LRT-2 from Recto.
And everybody ends up in Cubao.
Tips for Eating at Gateway Mall 2
The biggest tip is don’t wait until you’re starving before deciding where to eat. The mall is huge, and walking from one restaurant to another can take time.
If you’re attending a concert or movie, eat earlier than you think you need to. For buffets and premium restaurants, consider reservations. If you’re meeting friends, specify the restaurant and floor instead of simply saying “Gateway Mall.” And because Gateway Mall 1 and Gateway Mall 2 are connected, double-check which mall your chosen restaurant is actually in.

My Picks by Occasion
If I had to narrow everything down instead of giving you 30 choices, this is how I’d choose:
| Occasion | My Pick |
|---|---|
| Filipino food | Manam |
| More upscale Filipino | Grace Park |
| Italian | a mano |
| Steak | Wolfgang’s |
| Chinese / dim sum | Tim Ho Wan |
| Ramen | Ramen Nagi |
| Burger | Shake Shack |
| Big family celebration | Vikings |
| Hot pot / grill | Tong Yang |
| Coffee and conversation | UCC Park Café |
| Cake and family meal | Mary Grace |
| Different cuisines in one place | World Kitchens |
| Premium Chinese | 18 Jade |
| Quick budget-friendly meal | Taco Bell / Yoshinoya |
| Dessert / matcha | The Matcha Tokyo |
Those aren’t meant to say the other restaurants aren’t good.
They’re simply useful starting points when somebody in your group says:
“Ikaw na pumili.”
Final Thoughts
Gateway Mall 2 has become one of the better places to go for food in Cubao simply because there’s so much variety in one connected location.
You can have a quick bowl of ramen at Ramen Nagi, share dim sum at Tim Ho Wan, get Filipino food at Manam, sit down for Italian at a mano, celebrate at Wolfgang’s, spend hours at Vikings or Tong Yang, or head upstairs to World Kitchens and let everyone choose a different cuisine.
Then there’s coffee.
Dessert.
Matcha.
Movies.
And the Smart Araneta Coliseum just outside.
The mall’s current 2026 restaurant directory continues to show a broad mix of dining concepts spread from the Ground Floor all the way to Level 4.
And that’s probably the best way to approach Gateway Mall 2.
Don’t go in thinking there is one definitive “best restaurant.”
The better question is:
What kind of meal do you want today?
For a date, I’d look at a mano or Grace Park.
For family, Manam or one of the buffets.
For ramen, Ramen Nagi.
For dim sum, Tim Ho Wan.
For steak, Wolfgang’s.
And if your group can never agree on what to eat, just go to World Kitchens.
Sometimes keeping everyone happy is already the best restaurant recommendation of all.
