The legendary bell tower is actually the remains of Cagsawa Church, a Franciscan church that was rebuilt in the year 1636. 15. Barcelona Church and Ruins

Finally, the best way to end our Bicol adventures is by dropping by the famous Barcelona Church and Ruins of Sorsogon. It is one of the main attractions in Sorsogon that allows tourists to take a look back at our country’s rich and colorful history. The park is located in the coastal town of Barcelona, Sorsogon, also giving visitors a breathtaking view of the ocean.

According to history, the Spaniards claimed this entire community in the 1800s and named it Barcelona, in honor of the capital town of Spain. Now, the park features several Spanish Colonial Era buildings that all beautifully commemorate our country’s history.
