It was years ago when I first visited Calapan.
I was a TV segment producer then of a Public Affairs show of a major network in the country. We visited Calapan, the capital of Oriental Mindoro, for a mission and a story. I remember boarding a SuperCat passenger vessel from Batangas to Calapan, and it was my frist time to experience traveling by ferry from Batangas to the Mindoro island.
It was then that I realized that a lot travelers are going to Calapan, being the transport point to Southern Philippines. From Calapan, a lot of buses and vehicles travel the entire Mindoro island then ride another RORO going to Visayas’ Panay Island.
If you’re planning to travel to Calapan to explore more of the Mindoro island or other parts of Southern Philippines, here are the ferries to choose and their corresponding schedules.
