Yes, you read that correctly: the promotional round-trip fare starts at only HKD 71. However, there are several important conditions travelers should understand before rushing to book.

Which destinations are included?
The HKD 71 promotional fare is available on HK Express flights between Hong Kong and the following destinations:
- Beijing Daxing
- Changzhou
- Ningbo
- Sanya
- Yiwu
- Wuxi
The Wuxi service remains subject to regulatory approval. Promotional seats are also limited, which means the lowest fare may not appear on every flight or travel date.
The destinations offer a good mix of experiences. Travelers can explore the historical and modern attractions of Beijing, enjoy Sanya’s tropical beaches, or discover some of mainland China’s less touristy cities, such as Ningbo, Changzhou, Yiwu and Wuxi.
When can you book?
The booking period runs until July 2, 2026, at 11:45 p.m. Hong Kong time. Hong Kong and the Philippines follow the same time zone, so travelers in the Philippines also have until 11:45 p.m. on July 2 to complete their booking.
Since this is a flash sale, it is better not to wait until the last few minutes. The cheapest seats may disappear quickly as more travelers book.
What are the travel dates?

The fare must originate from Hong Kong
This is probably the most important detail for Filipino travelers: the promotion is not for flights from Manila or other Philippine cities to Hong Kong.
The HKD 71 deal applies only to initial round-trip bookings originating from Hong Kong. This includes eligible open-jaw bookings, but the itinerary must begin in Hong Kong. The promotional fare is also not available for one-way tickets.
For travelers from the Philippines, the deal may still be useful when combined with a separate flight to Hong Kong. For example, you could fly from Manila to Hong Kong, spend a few days exploring the city and then continue to Beijing, Sanya or another included destination.
Just remember to calculate the total cost of the entire trip. A very cheap Hong Kong–China ticket may no longer feel as affordable after adding your flight from the Philippines, accommodation, baggage and other expenses.
What does the HKD 71 fare include?
The advertised price is an Ultra Lite round-trip base fare. It includes only one small personal item that must fit underneath the seat in front of you.
Under HK Express’ Ultra Lite fare rules, the personal item must follow the airline’s size restrictions and cannot weigh more than 7 kilograms. A regular cabin bag, checked baggage, seat selection and other extras are not automatically included.
Travelers who need more baggage should compare the total price after adding luggage. Sometimes, choosing a higher fare category with baggage included may offer better value than booking Ultra Lite and purchasing several extras separately.

Passengers should proceed to Aisle U in Terminal 2 for regular check-in and bag drop. Those needing priority or special assistance should proceed to the staffed counters at Aisle V.
Because passengers may still need to travel from Terminal 2 to their assigned boarding gate, arriving early is highly recommended. HK Express advises passengers to arrive at least two hours before departure, with additional time suggested for certain early-morning flights.
