In Mt. Natib, Bataan, there’s a sighting of Rafflesia which is the world’s biggest individual flowering, though a parasitic, plant genus. Other trees in the forests of Bataan are timber trees like Narra and Mahogany, non-timber forest products like bamboo and rattan, and fruit trees like coconut, mango, cashew, and avocado. In the lowlands, local farmers grow leafy vegetables, fruits, crops, and mainly rice.
Morong, Bataan is a nesting site for turtles. So, the government puts up a conservation center for the turtles here. 2. Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar
The Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is partly a luxurious resort and partly a museum park slightly closer to the town proper. It is situated in the Municipality of Bagac. It is conveniently located near the beach. Flowing through the resort is a backwater that comes from the Umagol River that meets the West Philippine Sea.
The Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar is a huge museum park that features a Spanish Colonial era-inspired village. The reconstructed village is composed of a cobbled stone walkway, a Venice-like backwater, 27 mansions, or more or less, and a cathedral. The Cathedral and some of the mansions are only replicas. While the other mansions have been transferred brick by brick from Old Manila and other provinces and have been reconstructed in this park.
The property provides lodging to visitors and makes them feel at home. They offer hotel-type suites that match the Filipino-Spanish atmosphere of the museum. They even offer the guests an option to stay overnight at any of 13 Casas (Mansions).

3. Brisa Marina Beach Resort
Besides the Juness Beach Resort is the Brisa Marina Beach Resort. This is also accessible through the Gov. J.J. Linao National Road via Balanga, Bataan, or Subic. The Brisa Marina Beachfront Resort is designed with a modern style. Most of the rooms use natural light. And, gets either a pool view or sea view through balconies.
They offer spacious family rooms good for at least four and more. The family rooms have aircon, TV, WiFi connection, safe locker box, and bathroom with a hot and cold shower. They also offer standard rooms for couples or groups of 2 to 3 persons. And, these are just no different from family rooms since it has the same facilities. 4. Anvaya Cove
Developed by Ayala Land Premier, the Anvaya Cove is a luxurious residential area, a golf course, and a separate leisure center. This article will only dwell mainly on this leisure center.
This separate leisure center is administered by the Anvaya Cove Beach and Nature Club. Generally, the Anvaya Cove Beach and Nature Club require membership to access its leisure facilities. Its basic features are infinity and lap pools, gym, basketball courts, function halls, spa, kiddie village, and nature camps with obstacle courses.
At Anvaya Cove, there are two main in-house restaurants. One of these is the Bamboo Cafe which serves Filipino and Asian cuisines, mostly Southeast Asian. It has both indoor and outdoor seating. Meanwhile, the alfresco dining area facing the beach, the Pawikan Beach Bar, and Grill serves seafood and barbecue. Additional seatings are on its second floor which is the gazebo type. There’s a bar by the pool which is the Tower Bar. This serves tapas and drinks. But, their bests on its menu are the Mangoritas which is made from mango and tequila, and Anvaya Burger which is truly a Club’s special.
Then, there’s the Sunset Bar which serves on the beach. The Anvaya Cove Beach and Nature Club provide beach sports facilities like football, volleyball, and frisbee. Plus, they can also provide equipment for water sports such as kayaking, stand-up paddling, and snorkeling.
When it comes to the suites, the Anvaya Cove Beach and Nature Club provide three suite types, namely the Lagoon Terrace, the Garden Terrace, and the Garden rooms. The Garden rooms have twin beds, pullout beds, desk, TV with cable channels, WiFi connection, coffee and tea facilities, and mini-fridge. On the other hand, the Garden terrace has a king-sized bed and pullout beds as well. On its balcony is a view of the garden and forests. Then, the best suite is the Lagoon Terrace adjacent to the lagoon. It is also furnished with a king-sized bed and two twin beds. Additional facilities are iron facilities, hairdryers, safe lockers.

- Take the Subic Exit, and enter Subic via the Subic- Tipo Toll Gate
- Once in Subic, follow the signs to “Morong Gate” or the Anvaya Road directions.

5. Playa La Caleta
Playa La Caleta means Beach Cove. This resort is an eco-tourism resort with a 100-hectare cove in Morong, Bataan.
It has a one-kilometer beach enclosed with a lush forest. Exploring more of the cove, you will see an islet which is called Miguelito island, named after the resort’s owner.

8. Juness Beach Resort
Located in Cabildo, Brgy. Nagbalayong, Morong, the Juness Beach Resort is facing the South China Sea. It is easily accessible through the main road Gov. J.J. Linao National Road. Hence, taking public transportation or private vehicle are both convenient. From Balanga Terminal, guests can ride a minibus that passes by the resort.
The Juness Beach Resort is in a remote area. It is at least around an hour away from the city proper of Balanga, Bataan as well as from Subic. The nearest establishments are a gas station, small eatery, sari-sari store (small convenience store), and few local churches. But, the Juness Beach Resort is conveniently near the Pawikan Conservation Center. But, they can help the guests arrange a trip to the nearby beaches, Looc or Westnuk Beach Cove. For an additional fee, guests can request the use of facilities for Kayak, Jet Ski, Banana Boat, Speed Boat, and Aqua Bike.
The Vista Venice Resort has one in-house restaurant. This serves classic Filipino breakfasts which are – silog (Sinangag at Itlog – Fried Rice and Egg) partnered with tocino, tapa, daing (dried fish), and such. For lunch and dinner, they serve Filipino dishes like Sinigang na Hipon (Shrimp in Sour Soup) and Tinolang Manok. - Take the North Luzon Express Way, then exit at San Fernando Pampanga exit.
- Just straight ahead passing through Bacolor, Guagua, Lubao, and Dinalupihan. Please be reminded not to turn to the Dinalupihan exit, it will lead you to SCTEX.
- Follow the signage “Bataan/ Olongapo.” Then to Balanga, Bataan which is 7 kilometers from Pilar.
- Turn right to Ala-Uli then go straight ahead, then pass the Filipino-Japanese Friendship tower.
