I’ve visited Classic Savory many times, whether with friends or former colleagues. However, this was the first time dining there with my family.
During this holiday season, my mom had her high school reunion party at MOA, Pasay. As she is a senior citizen, we wanted to accompany her to MOA.
We then realized it had been a while since we last explored MOA during the Christmas season, so the entire family decided to join. Haha
With my brother recently purchased a new van, it was perfect for our family outing. We left our home in Cavite around 4:30 PM, just in time for the scheduled party or reunion. Upon arriving at the MOA parking lot, I escorted my mom to CenterStage KTV, the venue for their reunion. After her ‘beso-beso’ greetings with high school friends, I returned to the parking space.
The whole family was already starving and ready for a big dinner. We walked until we came across the Classic Savory restaurant at One-E Com, where I worked during my corporate days.
Lacking the patience and energy to wander the mall for a dining spot, we opted for Classic Savory, a familiar and suitable choice for us.
As many of you might know, Classic Savory offers a wide variety of food, meals, and desserts. For a large family like ours, it’s more practical to order one of their big packaged meals. The staff recommended the Classic Fiesta Meal, serving 8 to 10 people, which was perfect for us.
It’s a complete set of dishes and desserts for a large family, priced at P3595. However, since we chose the Buttered Chicken, the cost was P3780.
There are many options to choose from. Since we didn’t have the energy to ponder over the menu, we selected Menu 3. The following dishes were included:
- Nido Soup with Quail Eggs
- Choice of Chicken (Buttered Chicken)
- Long Life Pancit Canton
- Four Seasons String Beans
- Creamy Mushroom Fish Fillet
- Yang Chow Fried Rice
- Tropical Cooler
- Choice of Dessert (Ube Sago & Buko Pandan)
We were a group of six adults and two young children, and I can say that the food was more than sufficient, especially for us with big appetites.
The food was served sequentially, and we all enjoyed our dinner in the company of family.
My personal favorite was the Creamy Mushroom Fish Fillet. They served us two plates, which was plentiful. As a rice lover, I found the Yang Chow Rice delicious. The quantity was just right, stimulating our appetite even more.
Initially, I thought the String Beans were just ordinary ‘sitaw‘, but they were different – longer and tastier.
As for the desserts, my favorite was the Ube Sago, which was sweeter than the Buko Pandan. Regarding the chicken, considering the additional cost for the Buttered Chicken, I think it might be more worthwhile to opt for the standard Chicken Savory dish. It’s more affordable and already quite good.
After dinner, we felt energized to walk more and explore the Baywalk. Both the kids and the adults (‘kids at heart’) enjoyed our time.
If you have a large family with hearty appetites like mine, the Classic Fiesta Meals at Classic Savory is definitely an excellent choice.
