Puerto Princesa to El Nido by van and bus

Once we were out of the Puerto Princesa Airport, a group of people approached us offering their van services going to El Nido.

They were quite many, and we weren’t sure who to choose. Until I noticed a nice looking lady, smiling at us. Of all the people who tried to convince us, I picked her. I don’t know, maybe I chose her because of her smile and kind ways maybe. One thing I know, if you feel undecided, go for your gut feeling and I did.

It turned out well because the lady assisted us to a van and we did not wait for too long before it finally departed. We traveled for about 6 hours. It was quite a long ride until we finally reached El Nido. It was already dark when we arrived. Good thing it was just so easy to locate our hotel

After checking in, we decided to have a walk around town and the beach. One thing that is noticeable, there are a lot of foreign tourists there. Much more than local ones. El Nido has a nice vibe, so welcoming that we got excited for our tours the next morning. We did the famous Tour C and Tour E of El Nido, ate some delicious food and enjoyed the beach. But the main purpose if this particular post is to guide you on how you can travel from Puerto Princesa to El Nido minus the hassle. It is good to know that you have 2 options, either going their via air-con van or bus. The good news is, you can now book your tickets in advance online. So you won’t experience what we’ve gone through when we traveled to EL Nido when we need to choose the right van to take us there.

Lexxus Shuttle van – Puerto Princesa to El Nido

There are a lot of van and shuttle services in Puerto Galera offering trips to El Nido. Others might just be a small company or a group of drivers who own vans, but in case you are unsure of who to choose, you can also go back to a trusted company like Lexxus Shuttle.

Another much cheaper option of going from Puerto Princesa is by bus. But with a more affordable one comes with a little more inconvenience like a longer travel time and you have to travel through tricycle from the airport to the bus station in San Jose Market and Bus Terminal.

Cherry Bus’ Regular Air Con bus costs at about Php 379 and the travel time is an hour longer than the van since buses usually pick up passengers along the way and usually also stop at designation stations like Taytay and Roxas.
