Unveiling the Beauty of Ilocos at the 12th Regional Travel Fair

For travel enthusiasts, local businesses, and everyone in between, the much-anticipated 12th Regional Travel Fair (RTF) is just around the corner, ready to unveil the splendors of the Ilocos region.

Organized by the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines, this year’s RTF is all set to take place from October 13 to 15, 2023. The event aims to showcase the rich local culture and diverse tourism offerings that the host region has to offer.

Purpose & Significance of RTF

The RTF serves as an unparalleled platform for attendees to unravel the tapestry of experiences that the Ilocos region extends.

TPB’s Chief Operating Officer, Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, emphasized the unique allure of the Ilocos region. Inviting one and all, she stated, “The 12th Regional Travel Fair is a great opportunity for people to learn what there is to love about the Ilocos region. Through this fair, both businesses and consumers can discover the unique attractions awaiting them in the northwestern part of our country. I’d like to invite everyone to join us at this significant tourism event so that we can discover and explore the different sides of Ilocos,”

What to Expect at the RTF

On the inaugural day, the event will kick off with a Business-to-Business (B2B) session, aiming to create a thriving environment for at least 50 local buyers and 70 sellers/exhibitors. This will provide stakeholders an opportunity to expand their travel-related ventures and solidify their networks.

Moreover, participants can look forward to a post-event tour, which promises to be a whirlwind journey through Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.

The following two days will be dedicated to the Business-to-Consumer (B2C) fair at Robinsons Laoag. Local consumers can dive into a plethora of tourism offerings. From exclusive discounts on domestic tour packages, airline tickets, and accommodations to an array of other tourism-centric products and services, the fair promises something for everyone. Additionally, attendees can immerse themselves in product demonstrations, savor local cuisine, and gain insights through live selling and educational interviews.
