I’ve recently discovered a great cafe close to my place in Gen. Trias.
Over the past few months, I’ve been exploring various restaurants and coffee shops in my vicinity. I had an epiphany: Why travel far when I have some great options right near home? Indeed, I’ve found several delightful cafes in the area, and without a doubt, one of the best is Jacked Up Coffee.
Jacked Up Coffee is located just a short distance from Manggahan proper, en route to Amadeo and Tagaytay, Cavite. The cafe promises a robust caffeine kick complemented by delectable food. Having been there multiple times, I can vouch for the quality and taste of their offerings. I’ve visited Jacked Up Cafe about four times and have sampled various coffee and food items from their menu.

The Ambiance
The ambiance of the cafe is a blend of aesthetic appeal and rustic charm, mirroring its name, Jacked Up. The dominant black color tone feels masculine, reminiscent of men’s passion for cars and vehicles.
However, the Maple tree centered within the cafe adds a touch of homeliness, beautifully balancing the overall atmosphere.
The Food
During my first visit, I opted for their Hungarian Sausage and Egg Toastie. The food presentation alone was enticing. I really appreciate their commitment to maintaining an “aesthetic” presentation, as the Gen Z often puts it.
The food not only looked great but tasted equally impressive. The Hungarian Sausage and Egg Toastie, suitable for breakfast, brunch, or merienda, is an ideal choice if you’re in the mood for something flavorful but not as heavy as a rice meal.
For my drink, I picked a hot Spanish Latte. It was comforting, and uniquely delicious. There’s a distinctive taste and aroma to their coffee that’s hard to describe but absolutely worth experiencing. I don’t know what they’re doing with their coffee but hey, it’s working.
On another visit, I tried the Hot Caramel Macchiato, which was delightful. Alongside it, I ordered Creamy Longganisa Pasta and Nachos Overload. What I expected to be a light meal turned out to be a fulfilling dinner. Their generous portions always leave me satisfied.
During later visits, I experimented with more coffee choices and their All-day breakfast offerings, like the Garlic Longganisa Breakfast Meal. When it was served, the staff apologized that the longganisa had burst during cooking. Oh, that’s okay. Honestly, what matters is the flavor, and it was delectable.
The consistent quality of their food is a testament to the numerous times I’ve dined there.

For those driving, there’s parking available. If you’re someone like me who enjoys a walk, it’s a short distance from Manggahan Proper.
One thing I’ve observed is that, compared to other coffee shops I’ve visited in the area, Jacked Up usually has fewer customers. It might be due to its location, slightly away from the bustling city center. Nonetheless, I can confidently say they rank among the best with their top-notch coffee and sumptuous food. You have to try Jacked Up Cafe, and you might end up like me who keeps coming back.
