As someone who doesn’t have a typical office job, I usually work from home unless I’m traveling. One important consideration for anyone aspiring this lifestyle is the monotony that can set in from always being at home.
It’s essential to switch up your surroundings. Sometimes, working from a cafe or any other venue can be a refreshing change. It’s beneficial not just for fostering creativity but also for maintaining your mental well-being.
What I’ve done is explore and visit all the coffee shops in my vicinity in Gen. Trias, Cavite. As part of my afternoon stroll, I make it a point to stop by a coffee shop to savor some excellent coffee and delectable food.

So, without further ado, here are the 10 Best Coffee Shops in Gen. Trias, as personally experienced and reviewed by yours truly.

1. Jacked Up Cafe
In the Manggahan area of Gen. Trias, Jacked Up Cafe is a must-visit. They serve tasty food and coffee, just a walk from Manggahan proper, en route to Amadeo.
I’ve visited this shop numerous times and sampled various coffees and dishes. My top picks are their Spanish latte, toasties, and pasta. Their coffee has a unique aroma that’s simply irresistible.
What sets this cafe apart is its distinctive design. It’s a family-run cafe, which is reflected in its warm ambiance. It’s clear that the owners have invested great care to make this cafe stand out and aesthetically appealing. Although it’s my number one pick, it’s sad to see it attract fewer patrons than other cafes, likely due to its location. It’s quite far from the center. However, I assure you, once you try it, you’ll find yourself returning.

2. Kura Cafe
Kura Cafe is another top choice of mine. My discovery of this coffee shop was unplanned during my search to meet my daily step count. I stumbled upon this gem while wandering through the area.
They serve exceptional food and coffee as well. My visits to Kura Cafe have been adventures in gastronomy, with each visit featuring a new dish. My favorites include their Caramel Macchiato, Spanish Latte, pasta, and the Beef Tapa rice meal — a must-try.
A particularly commendable aspect of Kura Cafe is the superb customer experience. The staff is consistently helpful and friendly. The owners have clearly done an excellent job in training their team in proper customer service.

3. Jams Cafe
While Jam’s Cafe ranks third on this list, it’s actually my official favorite. Why? Simply put, it’s the cafe I frequent the most. There was a time, a few months back, when I visited this cafe almost every day. Its proximity to my place makes it a convenient choice.
What stands out at Jam’s Cafe is the diverse menu. If you’re eager to try the famous Valenciana of Gen. Trias, this is the place to go. They serve this delightful Gentri dish in various iterations, complete with an assortment of toppings. As a longtime patron, I recommend the Valenciana with pork barbecue toppings.
Their sizzling meals are worth mentioning, too. Priced at about 200 pesos per meal, they might seem expensive, but the quality justifies the cost. Give their sizzling pork chop a try.
For lighter fare, they offer sandwiches, pasta, and my personal favorite, Lomi Special. The serving is so generous it could easily count as a full meal.
Regarding coffee, I’ve sampled everything they have, but my top picks are the Toffee Nut Latte and Caramel Macchiato.

During a stroll through the new Gen Tri Plaza, a coffee craving hit me. I roamed the area and stumbled upon Rcafe. Opting for this coffee shop was a delight due to their excellent food. They serve hearty portions of pasta brimming with ingredients, and the coffee is noteworthy.
I indulged in their Frappe, seeking something soothing, and it didn’t disappoint. Rcafe is your go-to in Gentri for a satisfying meal accompanied by quality coffee.

5. Kalye Koppi
As I explored the Poblacion area, I came across Kalye Koppi, a quaint white coffee shop near the Malabon intersection.
The place exudes a homey, immaculate ambiance. Their waffle is a highlight—sizable and well-portioned. Both the coffee and pasta are gratifying. Should you find yourself near Malabon in Gentri, consider visiting this charming spot.

6. Brainstorms and Brews
This is yet another white-themed coffee shop, nestled at The M-Hub along Governor’s Drive in Gen. Trias. I already visited this cafe twice during my usual afternoon walks.
It’s a small, cozy cafe with a selection of fine coffee and food. On my first visit, I opted for pasta and a hot beverage. The next time, I tried their Spanish sardines, nachos, and a hot Spanish Latte. Most of the patrons of this cafe are students since this is just near the LPU Cavite campus. So be ready to see students studying at this place once you visit.

7. But First, Coffee
Also located at The M-Hub in Gen. Trias, this coffee shop lives up to its name by focusing on high-quality coffee. And it’s not just a claim—their coffee truly excels.
While the food, like pasta, is presented in microwavable containers, which might seem underwhelming, the coffee experience more than makes up for it. If it’s top-notch coffee you seek, look no further.

8. Café Centigrado
White-themed coffee shops are becoming quite popular, right? Café Centigrado is conveniently close to my home, located in the SGE-CE Building in Gen. Trias.
This quaint and cozy coffee shop offers a haven for those seeking to unwind with a cup of coffee. During my initial visit, shortly after their opening, I noticed several items on the menu were unavailable. I was particularly interested in trying their Nachos.
I sampled their Coffee Latte and the Chunky Chicken Sandwich on my visit.

9. Cakes and Sprinkles Café
Located in the new The M-Hub in Gen. Trias, this coffee shop stands out with its elaborate decor and thoughtful design.
I opted for an Iced Caramel Macchiato and what I believe was Bacon Alfredo pasta. The food was just okay. Given its name, the cafe’s specialty might be pastries, which I think I should try when I return. Well, I’m not really a fan of sweet food and pastries so I tried their pasta. Nevertheless, there’s always next time.
I look forward to returning to Cakes and Sprinkles and perhaps writing a dedicated blog post about it.

10. M Signature Coffee
This coffee shop is another convenient spot for me, situated just behind DiviMart Manggahan in Gen. Trias.
The shop boasts a stylish design and is also Instagrammable. During my visit, I ordered the Meaty Bolognese, a salad, and an Iced Spanish Latte.
The Meaty Bolognese was delightful. My only observation was the bustling atmosphere in the shop. It seems that there were a lot of things going on in the cafe.
It appears the same staff of the coffee shop also manages the large events space beside the cafe. Maybe, they have the same owner. There was an event at that time.
The manager was visibly overwhelmed and frustrated with some employees idling and playing on their phones. In a humorous turn, he directed the girl at that cashier to change the Wi-Fi password immediately. It was quite a scene. Everything happened right in front of my face – the customer. Haha! Despite the behind-the-scenes drama, both the food and coffee were excellent.
