Cavite Celebrates ATOP Pearl Award Winners (GenTri, Alfonso & Carmona)

The Provincial Government of Cavite beams with pride as it celebrates the recent achievements of its tourism frontliners at the 24th Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) Pearl Awards in a recent post via Cavite Tourism. Held on October 5, 2023, at The Tent in Boracay, Malay, Aklan, the ceremony was a grand spectacle dedicated to recognizing tourism excellence throughout the Philippines.

This year’s awards highlighted several notable contributions from Cavite, spotlighting the province’s dedication to promoting local culture, heritage, and craftsmanship. Here’s a closer look at the winners and their commendable feats:

 

Alfonso, Cavite

A picturesque municipality that never ceases to amaze. This year, they brought home two awards:

  • Tablea Batirol emerged as the 1st Runner-Up in the Best Tourism Gifts or Souvenirs Award (Food Category) at the Municipality Level, establishing itself as a delightful treat for both locals and tourists.

  • Alfonso Turismo’s The Wedding Destination of the Philippines Brochure definitely stood out, clinching the title of Grand Winner for the Best Brochure for Tourism Promotions Award. This brochure not only encapsulates the serene beauty of Alfonso but also positions it as a top wedding destination in the country.

City of General Trias

A city where tradition and modernity intertwine, General Trias showcased its cultural depth and diverse offerings:

  • Gentri’s Best secured the 1st Runner-Up spot in the Best Tourism Gift/Souvenirs (Food) at the City Level. With its tagline, “The Best Moment of Life is with Gentri’s Best”, it’s no wonder this souvenir has captured the hearts of many.Cavite ATOP Pearl Awards
  • GenTri Tourism, Culture, and the Arts was recognized as the 1st Runner-Up for Best Hosting Award of LGU (Local Event). The tagline “General Trias: Where Heritage Lives” truly embodies the city’s commitment to preserving its rich history.
  • The Kapistahan ni Tata Kiko, a religious festival deeply rooted in General Trias‘ culture, was acknowledged as the 2nd Runner-Up in the Best Religious Festival Award (City Level).
  • General Trias also secured a spot as a Finalist in the Best Practices in Community-Based Tourism at the City Level category.

Carmona, Cavite

Known for its vibrant festivals and unique offerings, Carmona too made its mark:

  • Reciclar De Carmona was named 2nd Runner-Up in the Best Tourism Gifts or Souvenirs Award (Non-food) at the Municipality Level. A nod to sustainable and innovative tourism practices.

  • The city’s lively Citcao Carmona Sorteo Festival clinched a position as a National Finalist in the Best Cultural Festival (Municipality Festival) category.

The Provincial Government of Cavite congratulates all awardees for showcasing the province’s best in tourism. These accolades not only highlight the dedication and passion of those working in the sector but also position Cavite as a formidable force in Philippine tourism.
