I’ve been to Iloilo and Bacolod when I was still working for a television network. I traveled to these destinations for stories and even though I wasn’t able to explore the best tourist spots at that time, I was lucky enough to experience its food, culture, and people.
I can say that traveling between these two destinations is worthy of your time and money. Besides, it is only less than 2 hours of ferry ride to travel between these two.
There are 3 ferry companies that travel between Iloilo and Bacolod (vice versa). These are OceanJet, SuperCat, and Weesam Express. Travel time is roughly about one hour and a half, and the fare depends on the type of accommodation that you’ll choose.
Bacolod port is called Bacolod Simplicio Palanca Port while Iloilo is simply called Iloilo port. Please also note that there are separate port terminal fees for these terminals. For Iloilo, this will depend if you’re a regular passenger, senior or student. For Bacolod, the terminal fee is fixed at Php 40.
