JoyRide Driver Requirements: Complete Documents, Vehicle Qualifications, and Onboarding Checklist

Becoming a JoyRide driver-partner may seem straightforward: download the app, upload a few documents, and wait for your account to be activated.

In reality, the requirements depend on what kind of service you want to provide.

A motorcycle rider carrying passengers under JoyRide MC Taxi does not necessarily follow the same checklist as someone delivering parcels. A private-car owner applying for JoyRide Car may need additional LTFRB documents, while a van or truck driver joining Happy Move may have a different vehicle-inspection process.

Preparing the wrong license, an expired clearance, a blurred OR/CR, or incomplete ownership documents can delay your application.

This guide explains the common JoyRide driver requirements for motorcycles, cars, taxis, vans, and trucks. It also covers document preparation, vehicle qualifications, onboarding, inspections, regulatory requirements, and common reasons applications remain pending.

Content

Quick List of JoyRide Driver Requirements

JoyRide’s recent official recruitment information commonly identifies the following core documents:

  • NBI clearance
  • Barangay clearance or another accepted local clearance
  • Vehicle Official Receipt and Certificate of Registration
  • Professional driver’s license for passenger services
  • Non-professional or professional driver’s license for eligible delivery services, depending on the category

Additional documents may be required based on the vehicle, service, registered owner, location, and regulatory status. JoyRide’s current Driver app accepts applications for MC Taxi, Car, Taxi Cab, Delivery, Pabili, and Happy Move using motorcycles, cars, vans, and trucks.

A more complete applicant folder may include:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • NBI clearance
  • Barangay or police clearance
  • One or two government-issued IDs
  • Vehicle OR/CR
  • Vehicle photographs
  • Proof of vehicle ownership
  • Authorization from the registered owner, when applicable
  • LTFRB documents for applicable four-wheel passenger services
  • Active mobile number
  • Compatible Android phone
  • Email address
  • Bank or payout information when requested
  • Medical or additional identification documents when required

Not every applicant will need every item listed above. The actual checklist appears after you select your service in the JoyRide Driver app.

Where Do You Apply?

JoyRide has moved online driver registration to the official JoyRide Driver app. Its former browser-based registration page is no longer used and now directs applicants to download the Driver app.

To begin:

  1. Open the Google Play Store.
  2. Search for JoyRide Driver.
  3. Confirm that the publisher is JoyRide Superapp or JoyRide PH Corporation.
  4. Install the official app.
  5. Open it and tap Apply Now.
  6. Select your vehicle and intended service.
  7. Complete the application checklist.

The current Driver app was updated on June 12, 2026, and supports both two-wheel and four-wheel partners.

Avoid outdated registration links shared in old videos, blogs, Facebook groups, or private messages.

JoyRide Services Open to Driver-Partners

The current Driver app lists the following categories.

Passenger and Ride-Hailing Services

  • JoyRide MC Taxi
  • JoyRide Car
  • JoyRide Taxi Cab

Delivery and Logistics Services

  • JoyRide Delivery
  • JoyRide Pabili
  • Happy Move

Accepted general vehicle categories include:

  • Motorcycles
  • Cars
  • Vans
  • Trucks

Approval for one service does not automatically activate every other category. For example, someone approved for motorcycle delivery may still need additional documents, training, and inspection before carrying passengers under MC Taxi.

Requirements That Apply to Most JoyRide Driver Applicants

Although service-specific checklists differ, most applicants should prepare the following.

1. Valid Driver’s License

Your driver’s license should be:

  • Unexpired
  • Clear and readable
  • Registered under your correct name
  • Appropriate for the vehicle you will operate
  • Valid for the type of paid driving you intend to perform
  • Consistent with your application details

JoyRide states that a professional driver’s license is required for full activation when the applicant will provide passenger service. Recent official recruitment notices distinguish this from delivery applications, where a non-professional license may be accepted for certain categories.

Professional License for Passenger Services

You should expect a professional driver’s license to be required for:

  • JoyRide MC Taxi
  • JoyRide Car
  • JoyRide Taxi Cab
  • Other paid passenger-transport services

Under Philippine licensing rules, a professional driver’s license authorizes a person who is hired or paid to drive.

The license must also carry the appropriate vehicle code for the motorcycle, car, van, truck, or special vehicle you will operate.

License for Delivery Services

JoyRide recruitment materials indicate that a non-professional driver’s license may be accepted for selected delivery categories, while a professional license is required for passenger services.

Do not assume this applies to every delivery vehicle.

A large van, truck, commercially classified vehicle, or specialized logistics service may require a professional license and the correct vehicle code. Follow the checklist generated by the app for your specific vehicle.

Check the License Details Carefully

Before uploading, confirm the:

  • Full name
  • License number
  • Expiration date
  • Vehicle codes
  • Address
  • Photograph
  • Signature
  • Front and back information

Do not upload only a screenshot from another app unless JoyRide specifically accepts a digital license format.

2. NBI Clearance

A valid NBI clearance is one of JoyRide’s most consistently published driver requirements.

Your clearance should be:

  • Original or officially issued
  • Unexpired
  • Under your correct legal name
  • Complete and readable
  • Free from alterations
  • Uploaded without glare or cropped edges

When your NBI clearance has a “hit,” complete the NBI verification and obtain the final released document before submitting it.

A payment receipt or appointment confirmation may not be accepted as a substitute for the actual clearance.

3. Barangay or Police Clearance

JoyRide’s official recruitment posts commonly request a barangay clearance, police clearance, or either of the two, depending on the particular onboarding campaign.

The document may be used to confirm your:

  • Identity
  • Residence
  • Local record
  • Address
  • Community information

Make sure your current address appears correctly.

When the address differs from your driver’s license or application, prepare proof of residence or an explanation if JoyRide asks for one.

4. Vehicle OR/CR

Applicants must generally submit the vehicle’s:

  • Official Receipt
  • Certificate of Registration

Recent JoyRide recruitment announcements include OR/CR among the standard requirements for both two-wheel and four-wheel applications.

The documents should clearly show:

  • Registered owner
  • Plate number or applicable vehicle identifier
  • Make and model
  • Engine number
  • Chassis number
  • Vehicle classification
  • Registration status
  • Color
  • Other official vehicle information

Before Uploading the OR/CR

Check that:

  • The photograph is clear.
  • All corners are included.
  • The text is readable.
  • There is no severe glare.
  • The document matches the actual vehicle.
  • The plate, engine, and chassis details are correct.
  • The registration is current or supported by acceptable renewal documents.
  • No information has been edited.

Do not upload only the top portion of the OR/CR. JoyRide may need the entire document for verification.

5. Valid Government-Issued IDs

JoyRide’s past and current onboarding materials may request additional government identification.

Examples may include:

  • PhilID or National ID
  • Passport
  • UMID
  • SSS ID
  • PRC ID
  • Voter’s ID
  • Postal ID when currently accepted
  • Other government-issued identification

Prepare at least two IDs when possible, even when the online checklist initially requests only one.

The names, birthdays, and other personal details should be consistent across all documents.

6. Active Mobile Number

Use a mobile number that:

  • Belongs to you
  • Can receive SMS
  • Has not been registered under another applicant without authorization
  • Will remain active
  • Is accessible throughout the application process

JoyRide may send:

  • OTPs
  • Document-review results
  • Correction requests
  • Onboarding schedules
  • Inspection instructions
  • Activation updates
  • Driver-account notices

Never share your OTP with another driver, recruiter, fixer, or supposed account-activation assistant.

7. Compatible Smartphone and Internet Connection

JoyRide currently accepts driver applications through its Android Driver app. Drivers also need a working phone to receive, accept, navigate, and complete bookings.

Your phone should have:

  • Reliable mobile data
  • GPS
  • Adequate storage
  • A functioning camera
  • Sufficient battery life
  • A secure screen lock
  • Access to navigation apps
  • A safe phone mount when driving

The public Driver app listing does not currently state one permanent minimum Android version, so check Google Play to see whether your device is compatible.

8. Clear Personal and Vehicle Photographs

The Driver app may ask for photographs of:

  • Applicant’s face
  • Driver holding an ID
  • Driver’s license
  • Vehicle front
  • Vehicle rear
  • Left side
  • Right side
  • Plate
  • Motorcycle passenger seat
  • Car interior
  • Cargo space
  • Other service-specific angles

Use recent photographs of the actual vehicle being registered.

Do not upload:

  • Photos downloaded from Facebook
  • Photos of a similar vehicle
  • Heavily edited images
  • Blurred night photographs
  • Pictures hiding vehicle damage
  • Images with a different plate number

9. Proof of Vehicle Ownership or Authorization

The easiest application is usually one where the OR/CR is registered under the applicant’s name.

However, the vehicle may belong to:

  • A spouse
  • Parent
  • Sibling
  • Employer
  • Financing company
  • Business
  • Previous owner
  • Rental or fleet operator

In these cases, JoyRide may request supporting documents such as:

  • Authorization letter
  • Registered owner’s valid ID
  • Owner’s specimen signature
  • Notarized authorization
  • Deed of sale
  • Financing documents
  • Fleet or operator agreement
  • Proof of relationship
  • Other evidence of lawful vehicle use

Do not claim to own the vehicle when the OR/CR clearly shows another person.

Submitting proper authorization is safer than trying to hide the ownership issue.

JoyRide MC Taxi Requirements

JoyRide MC Taxi applicants carry passengers on motorcycles, so the safety and licensing requirements are generally stricter than ordinary parcel delivery.

A typical MC Taxi applicant should prepare:

  • Professional driver’s license
  • Valid NBI clearance
  • Barangay or police clearance
  • Vehicle OR/CR
  • Government-issued IDs
  • Proof of ownership or authorization
  • Motorcycle photographs
  • Compatible Android phone
  • Required passenger-safety equipment
  • Any medical or additional document requested
  • Availability for safety training and assessment

Recent official JoyRide MC Taxi recruitment notices specifically identify a professional driver’s license, OR/CR, NBI clearance, and police or barangay clearance.

Does JoyRide Accept Every Motorcycle?

No platform should be assumed to accept every motorcycle automatically.

The current JoyRide Driver listing confirms that motorcycles are an accepted general vehicle category, but JoyRide does not publish a permanent, detailed public list of all accepted brands, models, engine sizes, configurations, and model years on its app-store page.

Older recruitment programs sometimes referred to specific engine-displacement limits, but these historical numbers may no longer reflect the current rules in every city.

Before buying or modifying a motorcycle specifically for JoyRide, check the eligibility screen in the Driver app or contact an official onboarding office.

Motorcycle Features Likely to Be Inspected

Prepare the following for inspection:

  • Front and rear brakes
  • Tires and tread
  • Headlight
  • Brake light
  • Signal lights
  • Horn
  • Side mirrors
  • Suspension
  • Passenger seat
  • Passenger footrests
  • Plate and registration identifiers
  • Engine and chassis numbers
  • Exhaust condition
  • General roadworthiness
  • Cleanliness and appearance

A motorcycle can have complete documents but still fail inspection because of worn tires, defective lights, unsafe modifications, or poor condition.

MC Taxi Safety Equipment

Applicants may be required to obtain approved equipment such as:

  • Driver helmet
  • Passenger helmet
  • Jacket or uniform
  • Rain gear
  • Hairnet or hygiene supplies
  • Reflective equipment
  • Phone holder
  • Other required safety gear

The exact package, design, and cost may change.

Purchase equipment only from JoyRide or an officially identified authorized channel. Do not pay an unknown Facebook seller promising that a jacket, helmet, or account package will guarantee activation.

MC Taxi Training and Assessment

Passenger-carrying motorcycle drivers may be required to complete:

  • Safety orientation
  • Defensive-riding training
  • Practical assessment
  • Passenger-handling instruction
  • App-use training
  • Emergency-procedure briefing
  • Customer-service orientation
  • Helmet and equipment instruction

Passing document verification does not necessarily mean you are already authorized to accept passenger bookings.

You may still need to complete the assessment, vehicle inspection, and account activation.

JoyRide Delivery Rider Requirements

A two-wheel delivery applicant may need:

  • Valid driver’s license
  • NBI clearance
  • Barangay or police clearance
  • Motorcycle OR/CR
  • Government-issued ID
  • Ownership or authorization documents
  • Smartphone
  • Vehicle photographs
  • Delivery equipment when required

Recent JoyRide recruitment information distinguishes delivery applications by allowing a non-professional license for certain delivery categories. Passenger applications require a professional license.

However, this does not mean every person with a non-professional license will automatically qualify.

JoyRide may still examine:

  • License vehicle code
  • Vehicle registration
  • Service type
  • Vehicle classification
  • Applicant background
  • Local operating requirements

Delivery Equipment

Depending on the service, riders may need:

  • Insulated delivery bag
  • Parcel bag
  • Rain protection
  • Straps or securing equipment
  • Phone mount
  • Power bank
  • Protective helmet
  • Approved clothing or identification

The bag should be suitable for the type and size of items the rider will carry.

Do not overload a motorcycle or accept an item that blocks the lights, affects balance, exceeds safe dimensions, or violates platform rules.

JoyRide Pabili Requirements

Pabili may use the same motorcycle and personal documents as an eligible delivery application, but the work also involves purchasing items on behalf of customers.

A Pabili rider should be prepared to:

  • Communicate with customers
  • Confirm item availability
  • Handle purchase instructions
  • Keep receipts
  • Discuss substitutions
  • Manage cash or electronic funds properly
  • Follow purchasing limits
  • Protect customer goods

JoyRide may require an appropriate driver-wallet balance or other financial setup before a partner can accept certain Pabili orders.

Never use a customer’s funds for a different transaction.

Happy Move Requirements

Happy Move is JoyRide’s broader logistics service and may accept:

  • Motorcycles
  • Cars
  • Vans
  • Trucks

The current Driver app identifies Happy Move as one of the available delivery services and lists motorcycles, cars, vans, and trucks as accepted general vehicle types.

Requirements can vary considerably by vehicle.

Possible Motorcycle Requirements

  • Driver’s license
  • NBI clearance
  • Barangay or police clearance
  • OR/CR
  • Government ID
  • Vehicle and equipment inspection

Possible Car or Van Requirements

  • Appropriate driver’s license
  • OR/CR
  • Ownership authorization
  • Vehicle photographs
  • Cargo-area inspection
  • Insurance documents
  • Clearances
  • Government IDs

Possible Truck Requirements

  • Professional driver’s license with the proper code
  • Commercially appropriate registration
  • OR/CR
  • Vehicle ownership or fleet documents
  • NBI and local clearances
  • Cargo-body photographs
  • Roadworthiness inspection
  • Additional operator or regulatory records

A driver licensed only for a small motorcycle or passenger car cannot lawfully operate a larger truck without the proper vehicle code.

JoyRide Car Driver Requirements

JoyRide Car is a four-wheel passenger ride-hailing service.

A typical applicant may need:

  • Professional driver’s license
  • NBI clearance
  • Barangay clearance
  • Vehicle OR/CR
  • Government-issued IDs
  • Proof of vehicle ownership
  • Authorization documents when applicable
  • Exterior and interior vehicle photographs
  • Insurance information
  • Bank or payout details
  • JoyRide onboarding and inspection
  • Applicable LTFRB documents

Recent JoyRide Car campaigns direct applicants to upload their requirements through the Driver app and receive updates through the app and SMS. Some campaigns advertised activation within two to four days for complete applications, but this is not guaranteed for every driver.

JoyRide Car Vehicle Qualifications

JoyRide’s current public Driver app listing identifies cars as an accepted category but does not publish one permanent list of approved brands, models, or year models.

Eligibility may depend on:

  • Current platform rules
  • Vehicle model
  • Year model
  • Seating capacity
  • Body type
  • Air-conditioning
  • General condition
  • Safety features
  • Registration classification
  • Insurance
  • LTFRB eligibility
  • City or service area

Before buying a vehicle for JoyRide Car, confirm whether the exact model and year are currently accepted.

Do not rely only on another driver saying, “Pasok ’yan.” Platform and regulatory rules can change.

Car Inspection Checklist

Prepare the vehicle by checking:

  • Brakes
  • Tires
  • Headlights
  • Brake lights
  • Signal lights
  • Horn
  • Seat belts
  • Door locks
  • Windows
  • Windshield
  • Wipers
  • Air-conditioning
  • Seats
  • Interior cleanliness
  • Exterior condition
  • Plate and registration identifiers
  • Spare tire and basic safety tools
  • Dashboard warning lights

Remove excessive clutter and strong odors before inspection.

A car does not need to look brand-new, but it should be safe, clean, presentable, and consistent with the submitted photographs.

LTFRB Requirements for JoyRide Car

JoyRide Car drivers may be subject to Transport Network Vehicle Service requirements beyond JoyRide’s internal onboarding.

Depending on the applicant and vehicle, this may involve:

  • Certificate of Public Convenience
  • Provisional Authority
  • Vehicle-unit confirmation
  • Franchise verification
  • Operator records
  • Other current LTFRB documents

The LTFRB describes a Provisional Authority as temporary authority to operate while a franchise application remains pending. It also provides services for franchise verification and confirmation of authorized units.

JoyRide platform approval and LTFRB authority are not interchangeable.

You may have complete JoyRide documents but still be unable to operate legally until the applicable government authorization has been issued.

Likewise, having an LTFRB document does not automatically mean your JoyRide driver account has passed platform onboarding.

JoyRide Taxi Cab Requirements

Taxi Cab applicants operate vehicles already classified and authorized as taxis.

Possible requirements include:

  • Professional driver’s license
  • NBI clearance
  • Barangay or police clearance
  • Taxi OR/CR
  • Government-issued IDs
  • Operator authorization
  • CPC or franchise records
  • Vehicle-unit confirmation
  • Taxi meter or calibration records
  • Vehicle inspection
  • Driver and vehicle photographs
  • Other LTFRB documents

The current JoyRide Driver app lists Taxi Cab as a passenger-service category, but the public listing does not show its entire document checklist.

Select Taxi Cab only when the vehicle is legally registered and authorized as a taxi.

A privately registered sedan should generally be evaluated under JoyRide Car rather than Taxi Cab.

Can You Apply With a Financed Vehicle?

Possibly, provided the vehicle is eligible and you can prove your lawful authority to use it.

Prepare documents such as:

  • OR/CR
  • Sales invoice, when applicable
  • Financing agreement
  • Certificate from the financing company
  • Authority to operate commercially when required
  • Registered owner’s consent
  • Other supporting documents requested by JoyRide or the LTFRB

Review the financing contract carefully.

Some loan, lease, or rental agreements restrict using the vehicle for commercial ride-hailing or delivery work.

JoyRide approval does not cancel conditions in your contract with the bank, financing company, dealer, or owner.

Can You Apply With a Secondhand Vehicle?

Yes, potentially, but the ownership records must be clear.

When the OR/CR is still under the previous owner, prepare:

  • Notarized deed of sale
  • Previous owner’s identification when required
  • Transfer documents
  • Authorization
  • Updated registration records when available

A handwritten agreement alone may not be enough.

It is best to transfer ownership properly through the LTO rather than relying permanently on an open deed of sale.

Do You Need Insurance?

The public JoyRide Driver app listing does not provide a single universal insurance checklist for every vehicle category.

However, passenger cars, taxis, delivery vehicles, and regulated public-transport units may be subject to:

  • Compulsory Third-Party Liability insurance
  • Passenger personal-accident coverage
  • TNVS or commercial-use insurance
  • Platform-related coverage
  • Other regulatory insurance requirements

Ask JoyRide and the relevant government agency what coverage applies to your exact service.

Do not assume that an ordinary private-car policy automatically covers paid passenger or delivery operations. Review your insurance contract directly.

Do You Need a Medical Certificate?

A medical certificate may be required during:

  • Professional-license application or renewal
  • Driver fitness verification
  • Service-specific onboarding
  • Applications involving certain age or health considerations
  • Regulatory processing

The Driver app will indicate whether JoyRide itself requires an additional medical or fit-to-work document.

Use only an LTO-accredited or otherwise properly authorized medical provider when the document is for a licensing transaction.

Does JoyRide Have an Age Limit?

JoyRide’s current public Driver app listing does not provide a single permanent minimum and maximum age for all categories.

Applicants must at least:

  • Be legally qualified to hold the required license
  • Be medically fit to drive
  • Meet the platform’s safety standards
  • Meet any service-specific regulatory rules

An older applicant should not assume automatic disqualification. Complete the application and submit any additional medical or fitness documentation requested.

How to Photograph Your Documents Correctly

Poor-quality uploads are among the easiest application problems to prevent.

Use Good Lighting

Take the picture in daylight or under bright, even lighting.

Avoid using a flash directly over a glossy ID because it may hide the name or license number.

Use a Plain Background

Place the document on a clean, flat surface.

Do not hold it over a patterned bed sheet, vehicle seat, or cluttered table.

Include Every Corner

Do not crop the edges.

JoyRide may need to see the complete document to check authenticity and validity.

Keep the Camera Straight

Photograph the document from directly above rather than at an extreme angle.

Do Not Use Filters

Filters can change colors, blur text, or make a genuine document look altered.

Check Before Uploading

Zoom in and confirm that the following can be read:

  • Name
  • Number
  • Expiration date
  • Address
  • Plate
  • Engine number
  • Chassis number

Why JoyRide Driver Applications Get Delayed or Rejected

1. Expired Driver’s License

Renew the license before resubmitting.

2. Wrong License Type

A non-professional license may not qualify for a passenger-service application.

3. Incorrect Vehicle Code

Your license may not authorize the vehicle you registered.

4. Expired NBI Clearance

An appointment receipt is not necessarily a substitute for a released clearance.

5. Address Mismatch

Your application, license, and clearance may show different addresses without supporting proof.

6. Blurred OR/CR

Retake the picture in better lighting.

7. Vehicle Is Not Registered to the Applicant

Submit the required owner authorization and proof.

8. Incorrect Plate, Engine, or Chassis Number

Compare every digit with the OR/CR.

9. Duplicate Application

Submitting several forms under different numbers may trigger a review.

10. Vehicle Does Not Meet Current Standards

The model, condition, age, body type, or classification may be unsuitable for the selected service.

11. Failed Inspection

Repair safety problems and request reinspection when allowed.

12. Incomplete Regulatory Documents

JoyRide Car or Taxi Cab applications may remain pending while LTFRB authorization is unresolved.

13. Background Verification

JoyRide may still be reviewing the submitted clearances and personal information.

14. Missed Training or Onboarding

Check the app, SMS, email, and missed calls.

15. No Available Slots

Driver onboarding may be limited in a particular city or service even when applications remain open generally.

What to Do When Your Application Is Pending

Start by checking the Driver app.

Look for:

  • Missing requirement
  • Rejected upload
  • Resubmission request
  • Onboarding schedule
  • Inspection status
  • Regulatory issue
  • Activation notice

When the app provides no explanation, prepare:

  • Full name
  • Registered mobile number
  • Application date
  • Service selected
  • Vehicle type
  • Plate number
  • Application reference
  • Screenshots
  • Description of the problem

JoyRide’s current Driver app lists help@joyride.com.ph as its support email. Its official website also publishes 24-hour hotline numbers (+632) 8864-7777 and (+632) 8864-7778.

Do not include your password or OTP.

JoyRide Driver Application Scam Warnings

Never Pay a Fixer for Guaranteed Activation

A legitimate application still requires verification, inspection, and any applicable regulatory approval.

Do Not Buy an Activated Account

The driver and vehicle displayed to passengers must match the person and unit actually providing the service.

Never Share an OTP

An OTP may allow someone to take control of your application or account.

Avoid Unofficial APK Files

Download the Driver app through Google Play or the official JoyRide registration page.

Do Not Send Fees to Random Personal Accounts

Confirm every payment through an official facility or authorized JoyRide channel.

Request an Official Receipt

Keep receipts for:

  • Gear
  • Training
  • Onboarding
  • Government processing
  • Wallet transactions
  • Other legitimate expenses

Do Not Submit Fake Documents

Fake IDs, licenses, clearances, OR/CR records, and LTFRB documents can result in permanent rejection and legal consequences.

Tips to Complete the Requirements Faster

Prepare Everything Before Applying

Gather the license, clearances, IDs, OR/CR, and ownership records before starting the form.

Renew Documents Early

Do not submit a document that will expire while your application is being reviewed.

Use Matching Information

Use the same spelling, suffix, birthday, and address across the application and documents.

Upload Clear Images

Check every picture before submission.

Register the Correct Service

Do not select Taxi Cab for a private sedan or MC Taxi when you only intend to deliver parcels.

Prepare the Vehicle Before Inspection

Repair lights, brakes, tires, seat belts, mirrors, and other obvious safety issues.

Respond to JoyRide Messages

A delayed response can cause you to miss an onboarding schedule or correction deadline.

Keep Application Records

Save screenshots, references, receipts, and support conversations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the basic JoyRide driver requirements?

The commonly published core requirements include an NBI clearance, barangay clearance, vehicle OR/CR, and a driver’s license appropriate for the service. Passenger services require a professional license, while a non-professional license may be accepted for selected delivery categories.

Where do I submit my requirements?

Submit them through the official JoyRide Driver app. JoyRide’s previous web registration form has been discontinued.

What vehicles does JoyRide accept?

The current Driver app lists motorcycles, cars, vans, and trucks. Eligibility depends on the selected service and current standards.

Is a professional driver’s license required?

Yes, for full activation in passenger services. JoyRide’s official materials distinguish professional licenses for passenger transport from licenses accepted for certain delivery applications.

Can I apply for delivery with a non-professional license?

JoyRide recruitment information indicates that a non-professional license may be accepted for eligible delivery services. The correct vehicle code and live app requirements still apply.

Is an NBI clearance required?

Yes, it appears consistently in JoyRide’s official driver-recruitment checklists.

Can I use a police clearance instead of a barangay clearance?

Some JoyRide recruitment campaigns have accepted a police or barangay clearance. Other campaigns specifically list a barangay clearance. Follow the exact wording in your current app checklist.

Is OR/CR required?

Yes. JoyRide needs the OR/CR to verify the vehicle’s identity, ownership, registration, and eligibility.

Can I apply when the vehicle is not registered in my name?

Possibly. Prepare authorization from the registered owner and any additional ownership documents requested by JoyRide.

Can I apply with an open deed of sale?

JoyRide may ask for the deed of sale and other supporting documents. Properly transferring the vehicle through the LTO is still the safer long-term solution.

Does JoyRide accept all motorcycle engine sizes?

Do not assume so. The current public Driver app confirms that motorcycles are accepted generally but does not provide a permanent public list of every eligible engine size and model. Check the app before purchasing a unit.

What year models are accepted for JoyRide Car?

JoyRide’s public app listing does not currently provide a universal permanent year-model list. Eligibility may depend on the platform’s current rules and LTFRB requirements.

Do I need LTFRB documents for JoyRide Car?

Four-wheel passenger services may require a CPC, Provisional Authority, vehicle confirmation, or other current LTFRB authorization. The exact requirement depends on the operator and application status.

Does JoyRide approval replace an LTFRB permit?

No. Platform approval and government operating authority are separate requirements.

Do I need a medical certificate?

It may be required for licensing, regulatory processing, driver fitness, or a particular JoyRide category. Follow the live checklist.

Can I apply using a financed car?

Possibly, but review the financing agreement and submit the requested ownership and authorization documents.

Does JoyRide accept vans and trucks?

Yes. The current Driver app lists vans and trucks among its accepted general vehicle categories, primarily for applicable logistics services such as Happy Move.

Do I need to visit a JoyRide office?

You can begin the application in the Driver app, but in-person document verification, vehicle inspection, training, or gear processing may still be required.

Where is the main JoyRide onboarding office?

The main facility is at 80 Marcos Highway, Mayamot, Antipolo City. Its published schedule is Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

How long does activation take?

JoyRide has advertised activation within two to four days for complete Car applications during selected 2026 campaigns. This is not a universal guarantee, particularly when regulatory documents or corrections are pending.

Why is my application still pending?

Common reasons include incomplete requirements, unclear uploads, expired documents, ownership mismatches, inspection problems, background verification, limited slots, or pending LTFRB authority.

Should I pay someone to activate my account?

No unofficial person should be trusted to guarantee activation. Use only the Driver app, official JoyRide offices, and authorized payment channels.

Final Thoughts

JoyRide driver requirements vary according to the service you want to join.

The most common documents are a valid driver’s license, NBI clearance, barangay or police clearance, and vehicle OR/CR. Passenger drivers should expect to need a professional license, while a non-professional license may be accepted for certain delivery categories.

Vehicle requirements are equally important.

Your motorcycle, car, van, or truck must match its documents, pass the applicable inspection, and qualify for the service you selected. JoyRide Car and Taxi Cab applicants may also need LTFRB authority in addition to JoyRide’s platform approval.

The best way to avoid delays is to prepare a complete folder before applying. Check every expiration date, photograph the documents clearly, make sure your information matches, and secure proper authorization when the vehicle is registered under another person.

Most importantly, use only the official JoyRide Driver app and onboarding facilities. Do not buy an account, submit altered documents, share your OTP, or pay a fixer promising instant approval.

When your documents, vehicle, training, and regulatory requirements are complete, you will have a much better chance of moving through onboarding smoothly and beginning your work as a legitimate JoyRide driver-partner.
