The September 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers is almost here.
At this point, if you’re one of the thousands preparing to take the LET—or officially the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers or LEPT—your focus probably isn’t just on reviewing anymore.
You’re also asking practical questions like:
Where is my testing center?
What room am I assigned to?
What time should I arrive?
What exactly do I need to bring?
Can I bring my phone?
What should I wear?
And perhaps the most important question two days before the exam:
“May nakalimutan ba ako?”
So here’s a complete guide to the September 2026 LET room assignments, what to bring, dress code, prohibited items and other important reminders before exam day.

When is the September 2026 LET?
The September 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers is scheduled for:
September 20, 2026 – Sunday
PRC’s official 2026 examination calendar confirms the September 20 schedule. The application period opened on May 22 and closed on July 23, while the target date for the release of results is November 27, 2026.
This examination covers both Elementary and Secondary teacher examinees, including the different specializations under the revised LEPT structure.
September 2026 LET Room Assignments Are Now Being Posted
This is probably the update most examinees are looking for right now.
PRC’s official Room Assignment page is already showing September 20, 2026 Professional Teachers room assignments for numerous testing centers and categories.
The listings are separated according to testing center and examination category. For example, Manila has separate room-assignment files for Elementary, Early Childhood Education, Special Needs Education and the various Secondary specializations. PRC also has separate listings for PWD examinees and, in some cases, additional names added to previously released lists.
So please don’t simply search:
“LET Manila room assignment”
and assume the first PDF you see applies to you.
You have to check the correct category.
A Secondary English examinee will have a different list from Secondary Mathematics.
An Elementary examinee may also have a different file from someone taking Elementary with Early Childhood Education or Special Needs Education.
Where to Check Your LET Room Assignment
The safest place to check is the official Professional Regulation Commission website.
Look for the PRC Room Assignment section and find:
Professional Teachers – September 20, 2026
From there, look for your testing center and examination category.
PRC’s page currently includes September 2026 LET assignments for locations such as Manila, Antique, Bacolod, Baguio, Balangkayan, Batanes, Bayambang, Bohol, Butuan, Catarman, Cauayan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Digos, Dumaguete, General Santos, Iloilo, Kidapawan, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Marinduque, Mati, Nueva Vizcaya, Oriental Mindoro, Oroquieta, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Romblon, Rosales, Roxas City, Santiago City, Sta. Cruz in Laguna, Tacloban, Tagum and other testing locations.
PRC also officially added several testing centers during the run-up to the examination, including Roxas City, Balangkayan in Eastern Samar, Santiago City and Virac, Catanduanes.
Because room assignments can receive revisions or additional lists, it is a good idea to check again before exam day even if you already saw your name earlier.
What Information Should You Check in the Room Assignment?
Don’t stop after finding your name.
Take note of the following:
- Exact school or testing venue
- Complete school location
- Building, if specified
- Room or group number
- Seat number, if indicated
- Examination category or specialization
- Special instructions for the testing center
- Any designation such as PWD or “Added to the List”
Save a copy of the assignment on your phone for reference before entering the venue, but remember that electronic devices are prohibited during the examination itself.
It’s also smart to check the location on a map before Sunday.
If you’re unfamiliar with the area, find out which gate you need to use and how long the trip usually takes.
Exam morning is definitely not the time to discover that the campus has three entrances and you’re standing at the wrong one.
What Time Should LET Examinees Arrive?
September LET instructions advise examinees to report to their assigned school or building not later than:
5:30 AM
Late examinees will not be admitted. Current September 2026 LET guidance reproducing PRC’s general examination instructions also carries the 5:30 a.m. reporting requirement.
Yes, that is very early.
And yes, the actual written examinations start later.
But you still have to go through venue entry, room verification, seating, examination instructions and the filling out of forms.
Give yourself plenty of allowance for traffic and unexpected delays.
Personally, if I were taking an important licensure examination, I would rather wait outside the school for a while than spend the morning stuck in traffic wondering whether the gates will still be open when I arrive.
September 2026 LET Exam Schedule
The examination generally starts with instructions and form-filling before the actual subjects.
For Elementary teacher examinees without specialization, the examination consists of General Education and Professional Education.
The schedule is:
7:00 AM to 7:45 AM – General Instructions and filling out of forms
8:00 AM to 10:00 AM – General Education
11:00 AM to 2:00 PM – Professional Education
For Secondary examinees and applicable Elementary examinees with specialization, Specialization follows later in the afternoon.
The standard LEPT schedule places the specialization examination from:
3:00 PM to 6:30 PM
The examination weights vary depending on the category. Under the current structure, Elementary without specialization is 40% General Education and 60% Professional Education. Secondary and applicable specialization categories generally have General Education, Professional Education and Specialization components. PRC used this examination structure in its 2026 LEPT program.
What to Bring for the September 2026 LET
This is the part worth checking twice before going to sleep Saturday night.
PRC’s LEPT examination instructions require examinees to prepare the following:
- Notice of Admission
- One long transparent white plastic envelope
- One long-size brown envelope
- Two or more No. 2 pencils
- Ballpen with black ink only
- Packed food or lunch placed in a transparent container or bag
- Drinking water in a container without a label
PRC’s LEPT instructions specify the transparent plastic envelope for keeping valuables and other permitted items. The Commission also requires No. 2 pencils and black-ink ballpens for the examination.
Let’s go through these because some of them are easy to overlook.
1. Notice of Admission
Your Notice of Admission is one of the most important documents you need for exam day.
Prepare it the night before.
Don’t leave printing or looking for documents until 4:30 in the morning.
Put it inside your transparent envelope along with the other documents you are allowed to bring.
2. Long Transparent White Plastic Envelope
Bring one long transparent white plastic envelope.
PRC specifies this as the container for your valuables and other allowed items.
The transparency is important because examination personnel need to be able to see what is inside.
3. Long Brown Envelope
You also need one long-size brown envelope.
This is separate from the transparent plastic envelope, so prepare both.
4. At Least Two No. 2 Pencils
PRC requires:
Two or more No. 2 pencils.
Personally, I wouldn’t stop at two.
Bring several properly sharpened pencils just in case one breaks or becomes too dull.
An eraser and small pencil sharpener are also practical things to have, provided they comply with the instructions of your testing center.
Your exam day is already stressful enough.
A broken pencil should not become an emergency.
5. Black Ballpen Only
Bring a ballpen with:
Black ink only.
Not blue.
Not red.
Not whatever color happens to be inside your bag.
Prepare at least two black ballpens so you have a backup.
Bring Your Own Food and Water
This is especially important for Secondary examinees because you may still be inside the testing center until early evening.
Prepare your meals and snacks before leaving home.
PRC instructions require packed food to be placed in transparent or clear containers, while drinking water should be in a container without a label.
Some examination guidance also reminds candidates that outside food delivery cannot simply be distributed to examinees while the examination is ongoing.
In other words, don’t depend on:
“Mag-order na lang ako ng food during lunch.”
Bring enough food and water for the entire day.
Choose something easy to eat and something that won’t give you an upset stomach halfway through Professional Education.
Exam day probably isn’t the best time to experiment with that extra-spicy meal you’ve never tried before.
Medicines and Personal Essentials
If you normally need medication, make sure you have what you need for the day.
Current September 2026 examination guidance also tells examinees to place permitted medications, hygiene items and sanitary supplies in transparent or clear containers.
Keep everything simple and visible.
Avoid bringing unnecessary items.
LET Dress Code
PRC also has a prescribed dress code.
For male examinees:
Tucked-in white polo shirt with collar, without any seal, logo or mark, paired with decent pants or slacks.
For female examinees:
Tucked-in white blouse or shirt with collar, without any seal, logo or mark, paired with decent pants or slacks.
These clothing requirements appear in PRC’s LEPT examination instructions.
The easiest way to avoid problems is to wear something plain.
White collared shirt.
No company logo.
No school logo.
No organization seal.
No large printed design.
Then wear decent pants or slacks.
Can You Bring a Calculator?
For Elementary LET examinees:
All kinds of calculators are prohibited.
For Secondary examinees:
Calculators are generally prohibited as well, except for Mathematics majors who may use calculators permitted under PRC Commission Resolution No. 1809, Series of 2024.
PRC says only one calculator is allowed for eligible examinees.
Calculators are also subject to inspection and resetting before the examination starts.
So if you’re a Mathematics major, check whether your exact calculator model is on PRC’s approved list.
Don’t assume that because it is “non-programmable,” it is automatically accepted.
What Items Are Prohibited?
This part is just as important as knowing what to bring.
PRC examination instructions prohibit items such as:
- Books
- Notes
- Review materials
- Materials containing formulas, codes or examination-related information
- Unauthorized calculators
- Cellular phones
- Smartwatches
- Earphones or earplugs
- Bluetooth devices
- Transmitters
- Portable computers
- Electronic gadgets capable of storing or retrieving information
- Bags such as backpacks, shoulder bags, ladies’ bags and attaché cases
- Other unauthorized examination aids
PRC specifically lists smartphones, smartwatches and other electronic devices among the prohibited items inside examination premises. Bags of any kind are likewise prohibited under the general LEPT instructions.
This means your Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch or similar device should stay home.
A smartwatch is still an electronic device even if you promise you’ll “just use it to check the time.”
What About Cellphones?
Your safest option is not to bring one unless absolutely necessary for your travel.
If you do need your phone before arriving, follow the instructions of examination personnel regarding the storage of prohibited electronic devices.
Do not assume you can keep it in your pocket during the examination simply because it is switched off.
PRC treats cellular phones and devices that can store, retrieve or transmit information as prohibited examination items.
Don’t Bring a Backpack Full of Reviewers
I understand the temptation.
You’ve been studying for months, so you might feel like reviewing one last page while waiting outside.
But once you enter the examination premises, books, notes and review materials are prohibited.
Keep your exam-day setup simple.
The review is done.
At this point, your job is to arrive prepared, follow the rules and answer the exam.
Check Your Room Assignment Again Before Sunday
Even after you find your name, I strongly recommend checking the PRC room-assignment page one more time before leaving for the examination.
PRC sometimes publishes:
Added-to-the-list files
PWD assignments
Updated room assignments
Separate specialization files
Testing-center-specific instructions
For example, the Manila listings already include separate “Added to the List” entries for some examination categories, while several locations have separate PWD assignment files.
Make sure you’re looking at the latest version.
What If You Cannot Find Your Name?
First, make sure you’re checking the correct:
Testing center
Examination level
Specialization
Room-assignment file
A Secondary Mathematics examinee shouldn’t be searching inside the general Elementary list.
Likewise, some cities may have separate files for PWD examinees or specialized Elementary categories.
If you still cannot find your name despite having a valid application and Notice of Admission, contact the appropriate PRC Regional Office instead of relying on answers from Facebook comments.
PRC’s official announcements repeatedly direct examinees to the Commission and the responsible Regional Office for examination-related questions.
LET Exam Day Checklist
Before you sleep on Saturday night, put everything in one place.
Your final checklist should include:
- Notice of Admission
- Long transparent white plastic envelope
- Long brown envelope
- Two or more No. 2 pencils
- Black ballpens
- Approved calculator only if you are an eligible Secondary Mathematics examinee
- Packed food in a transparent container
- Drinking water without a label
- Required medication and permitted personal essentials
- Plain white collared shirt or blouse
- Decent pants or slacks
- Your confirmed school, building and room assignment
- Transportation plan going to the testing center
Then set your alarm early.
Actually, set two alarms.
Before Leaving Home
There are three things I would check one final time before stepping out the door.
First, your Notice of Admission.
Second, your pencils and black ballpen.
Third, the exact address of your testing center.
You can replace food.
You can probably buy another pencil somewhere.
But showing up at the wrong school at 5:45 in the morning is a much harder problem to fix.

Final Reminder for September 2026 LET Examinees
After weeks or months of studying, the last few days before the LET can feel strangely stressful.
Suddenly you’re no longer worrying about educational theories or General Education questions.
You’re worrying about brown envelopes.
Pencils.
Room numbers.
Traffic.
Whether your shirt has a tiny logo on it.
That’s normal.
Take care of all these practical things the night before so Sunday morning can be as simple as possible.
The September 2026 LET is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, and PRC has already begun publishing detailed room assignments across its testing centers.
Check your assignment carefully.
Prepare only the allowed items.
Follow the dress code.
Leave home early.
And most importantly, follow the latest instructions printed on your own Notice of Admission and room-assignment advisory because those official instructions take priority if there are testing-center-specific changes.
Good luck to everyone taking the September 2026 LET.
