Miss Universe 2026 Top Picks: Early Favorites, Frontrunners & Predictions for the Crown

The countdown to Miss Universe 2026 is officially underway, and pageant fans around the world are already debating one very exciting question: Who will win the next Miss Universe crown?

With the competition happening in Puerto Rico this November, attention is gradually shifting toward the women who could become the biggest contenders for the prestigious title.

And if you’ve been following international beauty pageants, you probably know that the competition doesn’t really begin on coronation night.

Long before the contestants step onto the Miss Universe stage, pageant analysts, beauty queen enthusiasts, and international fan communities are already evaluating the delegates.

Some candidates are attracting attention because of their impressive national pageant performances. Others have established careers, international pageant experience, strong communication skills, or meaningful advocacies.

Of course, for Filipino pageant fans, one of the biggest questions is whether Bea Millan-Windorski can bring home the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown.

But she’s certainly not the only contestant worth watching.

Representatives from Cuba, Chile, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Brazil, Thailand, Spain, and several other countries have also appeared in early fan predictions.

So, who are the leading candidates? Which delegates have the strongest credentials? And who could surprise everyone once the competition begins?

In this article, let’s take a closer look at the Miss Universe 2026 early favorites, confirmed representatives, published hot picks, and my preliminary predictions for the crown.

Important note: This article is updated as of October 19, 2026. The predictions discussed here are editorial assessments and published opinions from independent pageant platforms, not official Miss Universe rankings. No contestant has secured a semifinal or final placement, and predictions may change after the preliminary competition.

Miss Universe 2026: Date, Venue and Host Country

Before we discuss the favorites, here’s a quick overview of the upcoming competition.

Miss Universe 2026 will celebrate the 75th edition of the international pageant.

Puerto Rico will host the competition, with the grand coronation scheduled for November 24, 2026, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan.

For viewers in the Philippines, the event will take place on the morning of November 25 because of the time difference.

Here’s the schedule based on the published event times:

EventPuerto Rico DatePhilippine Date and Time
National Costume CompetitionNovember 21November 22, 7:00 AM
Preliminary CompetitionNovember 22November 23, 7:00 AM
Grand Coronation NightNovember 24November 25, 8:00 AM

The schedule follows the dates and times published by the event’s Puerto Rico ticketing organizer. Broadcast coverage may have separate programming arrangements.

The reigning Miss Universe is Fátima Bosch of Mexico, who won the 2025 title in Thailand.

Miss Universe 2026 is expected to feature a large international field, with more than 100 countries and territories preparing to participate.

As the coronation approaches, the final delegate lineup and participation status should continue to be monitored.

Who Are the Early Favorites for Miss Universe 2026?

One of the more widely reported early rankings comes from Pageanthology, an independent beauty pageant coverage platform.

In September 2026, CNN Brasil reported on Pageanthology’s ranking of the leading Miss Universe 2026 contestants.

The ranking placed Cuba at number one, followed by Chile, Puerto Rico, the Philippines, and Venezuela.

Here’s the published Top 10.

Pageanthology’s Miss Universe 2026 Early Ranking

4PhilippinesBea Millan-Windorski
5VenezuelaClara Vegas Goetz
6SpainSusana Lucía Medina
7MyanmarMay Grace Parry
8BrazilMarcella Kozinski
9ThailandTharina Botes
10New ZealandGeorgia Waddington

This was Pageanthology’s September ranking, as reported by CNN Brasil—not a newly calculated October leaderboard.

It’s also important to understand that Pageanthology isn’t part of the official Miss Universe judging panel.

The list reflects independent pageant analysis and attention surrounding the contestants.

Still, it provides a useful starting point for identifying the candidates who were attracting attention ahead of the competition.

And looking at the names, I think there’s a strong mix of experienced pageant contestants, first-time international representatives, and women with interesting personal backgrounds.

Let’s look at them more closely.

Miss Universe 2026 Top Picks and Leading Contenders

1. Bea Millan-Windorski – Philippines

<text color=”secondary”>Early favorite and potential crown contender</text>

Of course, we have to start with the Philippines.

Bea Millan-Windorski earned the right to represent the country after winning Miss Universe Philippines 2026 in May.

Representing La Union, she emerged victorious in a competitive national pageant that featured several experienced beauty queens.

Since winning the crown, Bea has been preparing for the international competition, including runway and pasarela training.

In July, GMA News reported that she had started formal pasarela sessions with coach Ian Mendajar under the guidance of Jonas Gaffud.

Her preparations have also included advocacy activities, public appearances, and media interviews.

In October, Bea appeared on the digital cover of METRO, where she discussed her identity, personal growth, and the values she hopes to represent as a Filipina beauty queen.

One of the interesting things about Bea’s journey is that she has openly discussed questions surrounding her Filipino-American identity and what it means to represent the Philippines.

Rather than avoiding those conversations, she has addressed them as part of her experience.

Why Bea Is a Strong Contender

For me, Bea has several advantages.

First, she already has experience handling the pressure of a competitive national pageant.

Second, she has been actively preparing for the international stage.

Third, her ability to discuss personal experiences and cultural identity could become an advantage during interviews.

And finally, the Philippines has one of the most dedicated beauty pageant communities in the world.

However, fan support alone doesn’t guarantee a high placement.

What will matter is how effectively Bea communicates her message, performs during the preliminary competition, and connects with the selection committee.

My Prediction for the Philippines

I see Bea as a legitimate contender for a high placement.

A spot among the leading finalists is a reasonable early prediction, but it would be premature to declare her a guaranteed Top 5 finisher.

If she delivers confident interviews and a strong preliminary performance, she could certainly challenge for the crown.

And if she wins, she would become the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe after Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach, and Catriona Gray.

2. Mia Dio – Cuba

<text color=”secondary”>Number one in Pageanthology’s September ranking</text>

One of the most talked-about candidates in the early rankings is Mia Dio of Cuba.

She won Miss Universe Cuba 2026 in August after representing Isla de la Juventud.

But her victory is particularly interesting because this wasn’t her first attempt at winning the national title.

Mia previously competed in Miss Universe Cuba 2025, where she reached the Top 5.

According to the Miss Universe Cuba organization, she returned in 2026 with greater experience and eventually secured the crown.

Her background includes work in digital communication and content creation, along with advocacy relating to women’s health and reproductive education.

Her national organization also highlighted the strong public support she received during the competition.

Why Mia Is a Strong Contender

Mia’s biggest advantage may be the experience she gained from her previous national pageant attempt.

She understands what it takes to compete under pressure and has already experienced the disappointment of falling short before returning to win.

Her communication background may also help during interviews and media appearances.

However, international pageants introduce a different level of competition.

She will need to show that her national success translates into a strong performance against delegates from around the world.

My Prediction for Cuba

Cuba belongs on my early shortlist for the leading placements.

Mia’s combination of national pageant experience, public visibility, and advocacy gives her a credible case.

But just like every other contestant, her actual international stage performance remains the biggest unknown.

3. Dominga López – Chile

<text color=”secondary”>Strong communication background and early fan favorite</text>

Chile has an interesting representative this year.

Dominga López won Miss Universe Chile 2026 in August after representing Viña del Mar.

She is a journalist and model whose professional background includes communication and international modeling work.

According to her national pageant organization, she began modeling at a young age and later earned a degree in journalism.

She also advocates against school bullying through her project Atrévete a ser Tú, which focuses on self-esteem, respect, and encouraging young people to embrace their individuality.

Dominga’s victory at the national competition attracted attention because of her performance during the different rounds, including the final question-and-answer segment.

Why Dominga Is a Strong Contender

I think Dominga’s communication background makes her one of the most interesting candidates.

Miss Universe isn’t just about stage presentation.

Contestants also need to communicate effectively and show confidence when discussing complicated topics.

A background in journalism doesn’t automatically make someone a great pageant speaker, but it can provide useful experience in organizing ideas and expressing opinions.

Dominga also has a personal advocacy that connects with experiences she has publicly discussed.

My Prediction for Chile

Chile is one of my strongest early picks.

Dominga has the potential to do particularly well if she combines her communication skills with a memorable stage performance.

She is definitely someone I’ll be watching during the preliminary interviews and evening gown competition.

4. Jennifer Barreto – Puerto Rico

<text color=”secondary”>Host-country representative and major contender</text>

Puerto Rico has a particularly important role in Miss Universe 2026 because the competition is taking place on the island.

Its representative, Jennifer Barreto, won Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2026 on June 25.

She represented San Sebastián during the national competition.

But beyond the crown, Jennifer has an impressive professional background.

According to her official Miss Universe Puerto Rico biography, she has studied psychology and social work and has worked in prevention and community support.

Her professional experience includes helping military families and supporting initiatives addressing domestic violence, child protection, and community well-being.

She also has experience in crisis response and developing prevention strategies.

Why Jennifer Is a Strong Contender

There are two reasons why I think Jennifer could become one of the strongest contestants this year.

The first is her experience working with people and communities.

She has a professional background involving difficult social issues, which could provide depth to her interview answers.

The second is the fact that she’s representing the host country.

Competing in Puerto Rico means she may be more familiar with the environment and could receive significant local audience support.

However, being the host delegate doesn’t guarantee any advantage in the actual judging.

She still needs to perform well in every important part of the competition.

My Prediction for Puerto Rico

Jennifer is firmly within my tentative Top 5.

If her communication skills and stage performance match the strength of her personal background, she could be a serious contender for the title.

5. Clara Vegas Goetz – Venezuela

<text color=”secondary”>Representative of a major pageant powerhouse</text>

Venezuela is another country that always attracts attention at Miss Universe.

Its representative for 2026 is Clara Vegas Goetz, who won Miss Venezuela in December 2025.

She represented Miranda during the national competition.

Clara has a background in acting, modeling, and performing arts.

There’s also an interesting pageant connection in her family.

Her mother, Andreína Goetz, previously won Miss Venezuela in 1990.

Of course, that doesn’t determine Clara’s chances internationally, but it adds another dimension to her story.

Why Clara Is a Strong Contender

Venezuela has a long history of producing competitive international beauty queens.

Clara’s performing arts experience could be valuable for stage presence, expression, and confidence.

However, I wouldn’t automatically predict a high placement just because she’s representing Venezuela.

Her performance needs to speak for itself.

What makes her interesting is the combination of her professional background and the preparation associated with her national pageant journey.

My Prediction for Venezuela

Venezuela is another country I would place among my preliminary crown contenders.

Clara has the potential to perform strongly, particularly if she delivers an impressive preliminary competition.

6. Marcella Kozinski – Brazil

<text color=”secondary”>Experienced contestant with growing international attention</text>

Brazil’s representative, Marcella Kozinski, is another name worth watching.

She won Miss Universe Brazil 2026 and will represent her country in Puerto Rico.

Marcella has previous international pageant experience, including participation in Miss International 2019.

According to CNN Brasil, she has also been preparing to improve her public speaking, English communication, and runway presentation ahead of Miss Universe.

In October, Brazilian media reported that her national costume preparations would focus on sustainability.

Why Marcella Is a Strong Contender

Previous pageant experience can be helpful because contestants become more familiar with international competition environments.

Marcella has already experienced that setting.

What I find encouraging is the reported attention being given to her communication and runway preparations.

These are areas that can make a major difference once the contestants begin appearing together.

My Prediction for Brazil

Brazil is a strong candidate for a semifinal placement in my early assessment.

Marcella also has the potential to move higher if she performs particularly well during the preliminary rounds.

7. Susana Lucía Medina – Spain

<text color=”secondary”>Experienced international pageant competitor</text>

Spain is another country appearing in early Miss Universe 2026 predictions.

Its representative is Susana Medina, also identified as Susana Lucía Medina.

She won Miss Universe Spain 2026 in July after representing Las Palmas.

Susana already has previous pageant experience, including participation in Miss Grand International 2024, where she eventually received a third runner-up placement following a post-pageant reclassification.

Her background also includes modeling and studies related to law.

Why Susana Is a Strong Contender

For me, one of Susana’s advantages is her familiarity with major pageant competitions.

An experienced delegate may be better prepared for demanding schedules, interviews, and stage presentations.

But previous international success doesn’t automatically lead to success at Miss Universe.

Susana will still need to demonstrate that she can stand out among this year’s contestants.

My Prediction for Spain

Spain is one of my early semifinal candidates.

If Susana produces a strong preliminary showing, she could become a serious contender for the leading placements.

8. May Grace Parry – Myanmar

<text color=”secondary”>Experienced model and rising Asian contender</text>

Myanmar is another country to watch.

May Grace Parry won Miss Universe Myanmar 2026 in June after representing Hpa-An.

She has a background in modeling and acting, with experience working in entertainment.

Her international background and professional experience make her an interesting addition to this year’s Asian delegates.

Why May Grace Is a Strong Contender

One of the things I look for in a potential finalist is whether a candidate appears comfortable communicating and presenting herself publicly.

May Grace has professional experience that could help her in those situations.

She also received attention from independent pageant rankings, including Pageanthology’s September list.

My Prediction for Myanmar

Myanmar is a candidate worth keeping on the semifinal watchlist.

I wouldn’t put May Grace in my definite Top 5 yet, but a strong performance in Puerto Rico could change that assessment.

9. Tharina Botes – Thailand

<text color=”secondary”>Strong national winner; international participation status requires confirmation</text>

Thailand’s national titleholder is Tharina Botes.

She won Miss Universe Thailand 2026 on August 23 after representing Bangkok.

Her victory followed a national competition in which she impressed the judges, including during the final question-and-answer segment.

She has previous pageant experience and a Thai-South African background.

However, there’s an important development that makes her case different from the other candidates on this list.

In September, reports emerged that Miss Universe leadership was reviewing Thailand’s participation amid disputes involving the pageant’s organizational and franchise arrangements.

Because of that uncertainty, her ability to compete in Puerto Rico should not be treated as completely settled without further confirmation.

Why Tharina Is Worth Watching

If her participation proceeds, Tharina has the experience and national pageant performance to be considered a serious contender.

She also appeared in Pageanthology’s September Top 10.

My Prediction for Thailand

Thailand could be competitive, but I would keep Tharina in a separate category until her international participation status is clearly settled.

This is a reminder that early prediction lists must consider not only contestants’ strengths but also confirmed eligibility and participation.

10. Georgia Waddington – New Zealand

<text color=”secondary”>Potential semifinal contender with international experience</text>

New Zealand is represented by Georgia Waddington.

She won Miss Universe New Zealand 2026 in July.

Georgia already has experience in other international competitions.

She participated in Miss International 2023, where she received the Miss Photogenic award.

She also competed in Miss Charm 2024, reaching the Top 20 and receiving a Best Face recognition.

Beyond pageantry, Georgia has worked in digital marketing and business.

Why Georgia Is a Strong Contender

She has the advantage of knowing what it’s like to compete internationally.

Her past placements and special awards demonstrate that she’s already been recognized in international pageant settings.

However, each pageant has its own judging process, and success in another competition doesn’t guarantee a Miss Universe placement.

My Prediction for New Zealand

Georgia is one of my potential semifinal contenders.

She could become a bigger favorite if her preliminary performance stands out.

Other Miss Universe 2026 Candidates Who Could Surprise Everyone

One of the most exciting things about Miss Universe is that the early favorites don’t always end up dominating the final results.

Sometimes, a contestant who receives relatively little attention before the competition delivers an outstanding preliminary performance and suddenly becomes one of the leading candidates.

Here are several confirmed representatives I think deserve a place on the watchlist.

11. María Alejandra López – Colombia

Colombia recently selected María Alejandra López Pérez as its Miss Universe 2026 representative.

She won the national competition on October 10 in Barranquilla, representing Risaralda.

At 32, she brings considerable pageant experience.

According to Colombian media, she’s an industrial engineer who has spent more than a decade participating in beauty competitions.

Her history includes winning Reina Hispanoamericana in 2013.

For me, she’s one of the more interesting late additions to the field.

Because she was crowned relatively recently, she wasn’t included among the leading names in September’s Pageanthology Top 10.

But that doesn’t mean she should be overlooked.

Her experience could make her a strong challenger once the international competition begins.

Prediction: Potential semifinalist and a possible challenger for a higher placement.

12. Kaziah Liz Mejo – India

India will be represented by Kaziah Liz Mejo, who won Miss Universe India 2026 in August.

She is a 19-year-old law student and model from Kerala.

Kaziah also has previous international pageant experience.

She represented India at Miss Teen International 2025 and finished as first runner-up.

I think that experience could be helpful when transitioning to a larger competition.

However, Miss Universe presents a different environment, with a wider range of contestants and considerably more international attention.

Prediction: A promising young contender who could challenge for a semifinal spot.

13. Melissa Núñez – Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic will be represented by Melissa Núñez.

She won Miss República Dominicana Universo 2026 in July after representing Concepción de La Vega.

Her country is among the delegations that participated in the October 2026 pre-pageant promotional activities in Puerto Rico.

Although she wasn’t among the ten names in the Pageanthology ranking discussed earlier, that doesn’t rule her out as a potential contender.

The preliminary competition will offer a much better opportunity to assess her performance alongside other delegates.

Prediction: A possible dark horse worth monitoring.

My Miss Universe 2026 Early Top 5 Predictions

Now comes the fun part.

After reviewing the published early rankings, national pageant results, contestants’ backgrounds, and available preparation updates, here are my tentative Top 5 selections.

These are editorial predictions, not an official ranking, and the countries are listed alphabetically.

CountryRepresentativeMain Reason for Inclusion
ChileDominga LópezJournalism background and communication skills
CubaMia DioNational pageant experience and strong early recognition
PhilippinesBea Millan-WindorskiPreparation, public communication, and national performance
Puerto RicoJennifer BarretoProfessional advocacy background and experience
VenezuelaClara Vegas GoetzPerforming arts background and national pageant success

This is the group I would watch most closely at this stage.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised if Brazil, Colombia, Spain, or another country eventually breaks into the final group.

We still haven’t seen all the contestants compete directly against one another.

And that’s a very important distinction.

A beautiful photo, a viral video, or a strong national pageant performance doesn’t necessarily tell us how someone will perform on the Miss Universe stage.

Who Is My Early Pick to Win Miss Universe 2026?

If I had to identify the countries with the most convincing early cases, I would narrow the race to the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Chile, and Cuba.

But I wouldn’t declare one contestant a clear winner yet.

Puerto Rico has a representative with substantial professional and advocacy experience.

Chile has a delegate whose communication background could be valuable.

Cuba has a candidate with a compelling national pageant comeback story.

And the Philippines has Bea Millan-Windorski, who is undergoing preparation and has already shown that she can handle a competitive national pageant environment.

My position as of October 19 is that the race remains genuinely open.

The preliminary competition could easily change the order of these predictions.

Can Bea Millan-Windorski Win Miss Universe 2026?

This is probably the question many Filipino pageant fans are asking.

And I think the answer is yes—she has a credible chance to compete for the title.

But it’s important to separate possibility from certainty.

Winning Miss Universe requires several things to come together at the right time.

A candidate needs to perform well in interviews, demonstrate confidence, communicate effectively, and make a strong impression on stage.

Preparation matters, but so does the actual performance during the competition.

The Philippines also has a history of producing successful Miss Universe contestants.

Our country has won the crown four times:

YearPhilippine Miss Universe Winner
1969Gloria Diaz
1973Margie Moran
2015Pia Wurtzbach
2018Catriona Gray

The Philippines has also produced several strong finalists in more recent editions.

At Miss Universe 2025, Ahtisa Manalo finished as third runner-up.

That result certainly gives Filipino fans another reason to be excited.

However, previous placements don’t guarantee future results.

Bea will need to create her own moment on the Miss Universe stage.

What Bea Needs to Do to Become a Serious Crown Threat

For me, there are three areas worth watching.

First is her preliminary interview performance.

She needs to communicate her ideas clearly, demonstrate a strong sense of purpose, and respond naturally to questions.

Second is her stage presentation.

The swimsuit and evening gown segments provide opportunities to demonstrate confidence, poise, and control.

Third is consistency.

A strong contestant isn’t necessarily someone who produces only one memorable moment.

It’s someone who performs well throughout the different stages of the competition.

If Bea delivers across all three areas, I believe she could become one of the leading contenders for the crown.

What Makes a Miss Universe 2026 Frontrunner?

Before relying too much on any prediction list, I think it’s worth understanding what actually makes a contestant competitive.

1. Communication Skills

The ability to speak clearly and discuss meaningful topics is an important part of a contestant’s overall presentation.

This is why delegates with experience in journalism, education, advocacy, and public speaking are worth watching.

However, professional experience alone isn’t enough.

It’s how effectively they communicate that matters.

2. Stage Presence

Miss Universe is a major international event.

Contestants need to demonstrate confidence in front of large audiences, cameras, and judges.

Strong stage presence can help someone become memorable.

3. Preliminary Performance

The preliminary competition is one of the most important events for evaluating the field.

It’s where contestants present themselves in the major onstage segments before the final competition.

This is also when fan predictions can change significantly.

4. Authenticity and Personality

I personally think authenticity matters.

Some contestants have beautiful photographs and polished promotional videos, but what makes them truly memorable is their personality.

Someone who communicates naturally and presents a clear sense of identity can leave a strong impression.

5. Advocacy and Personal Background

Contestants often use their platforms to raise awareness about issues that matter to them.

A meaningful advocacy can help an audience understand what motivates a delegate.

But the strongest advocacy stories are supported by actual involvement and experience, rather than only polished campaign statements.

6. Consistency

Ultimately, no single photo or interview should determine an entire prediction.

It’s better to evaluate how a contestant performs across multiple appearances.

That’s why I think early rankings are interesting, but preliminary and final competition performances are far more informative.

How Reliable Are Miss Universe Hot Picks and Predictions?

This is an important question.

Every year, pageant websites and fan communities release prediction lists.

Some are based on extensive pageant coverage.

Others reflect personal preferences, popularity, social media engagement, or impressions from promotional photos and videos.

There’s nothing wrong with enjoying these rankings.

They’re part of the excitement surrounding international pageants.

But we should remember that they aren’t official judging results.

A contestant might be ranked number one by one pageant platform and outside the Top 10 by another.

That doesn’t necessarily mean one platform is correct and the other is wrong.

They’re simply assessments made using different criteria.

For Miss Universe 2026, it’s especially important not to treat preliminary popularity as proof of a future placement.

The national winners have been selected, but the main international competition hasn’t taken place yet.

The selection committee will ultimately determine the official results.

When Will the Miss Universe 2026 Predictions Become More Accurate?

In my opinion, the most useful prediction updates will come during competition week in Puerto Rico.

There are three important stages worth following.

National Costume Competition – November 21

The National Costume Competition will give contestants an opportunity to showcase outfits representing their countries’ identities, cultures, and traditions.

While this is one of the most visually exciting parts of Miss Universe, a memorable costume doesn’t automatically mean a contestant will reach the finals.

Still, it can generate considerable attention.

Preliminary Competition – November 22

This is the event I’m most interested in watching before making final predictions.

The preliminary competition includes the swimsuit and evening gown segments.

It’s a chance to evaluate the delegates under the same international competition environment.

At that point, some early favorites may strengthen their positions, while previously overlooked candidates could suddenly emerge.

Grand Coronation – November 24

The grand coronation will determine the official placements and the new Miss Universe.

The final outcome will depend on the pageant’s selection process and the performances of the contestants.

For viewers in the Philippines, this happens on the morning of November 25.

Will There Be a Surprise Winner in Miss Universe 2026?

Absolutely possible.

And honestly, that’s one of the reasons why I enjoy following pageants.

Predictions are fun, but the competition would be much less exciting if everyone already knew the outcome.

Some contestants arrive with enormous expectations.

Others receive relatively little attention until they perform.

The international competition brings everyone together, which allows viewers to compare contestants more directly.

That’s why I’m particularly interested in watching Colombia’s María Alejandra López, India’s Kaziah Liz Mejo, and New Zealand’s Georgia Waddington.

They have backgrounds or experience that make them worth monitoring, even if they’re not currently my main crown favorites.

I wouldn’t be surprised if at least one unexpected contestant becomes a major talking point during preliminary week.

Of course, that’s a prediction—not a claim about who the judges will select.

Miss Universe 2026 Predictions: Countries to Watch

Miss Universe Top Picks in Puerto Rico

Final Thoughts: Who Will Win Miss Universe 2026?

Miss Universe 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting competition.

With the 75th edition taking place in Puerto Rico, the stage is set for another major international celebration.

And judging from the confirmed candidates and early pageant rankings, there’s already an interesting group of contenders.

Cuba’s Mia Dio has attracted significant attention.

Chile’s Dominga López brings a communication background and a meaningful advocacy.

Puerto Rico’s Jennifer Barreto has an impressive professional story.

Venezuela’s Clara Vegas Goetz has performing arts experience and a strong national pageant background.

Meanwhile, Brazil, Spain, Colombia, Myanmar, New Zealand, India, and other countries have representatives who could become major contenders.

And of course, there’s Bea Millan-Windorski.

As a Filipino, I’m excited to see how she’ll perform against the other international delegates.

The possibility of winning a fifth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines is certainly something to look forward to.

But I also think it’s important to appreciate the competition for what it is.

Every contestant has worked hard to represent her country, and being an early favorite doesn’t automatically guarantee success.

For now, my tentative Top 5 consists of the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Chile, Cuba, and Venezuela.

But that’s far from a final prediction.

The real test begins when the candidates arrive in Puerto Rico and face the selection committee.

And who knows? The next Miss Universe might be someone we’re not paying enough attention to right now.

That’s what makes the competition exciting.

I’ll be keeping an eye on the confirmed contestants, upcoming appearances, preliminary performances, and major developments as the November coronation approaches.

For now, let the predictions begin.

Who do you think deserves to win Miss Universe 2026? Is Bea Millan-Windorski your top pick, or do you have another favorite?

Last updated: October 19, 2026. This article combines confirmed national pageant results, reported independent hot picks, and editorial predictions. The final list of competitors, event details, and pageant predictions may change before the November 24 coronation in Puerto Rico.
