Tagbilaran to Plaridel, Misamis Occidental by Ferry

If you’re in Bohol and planning to travel to Mindanao, you can now do that via ferry, with the new route from Tagbilaran to Plaridel, Misamis Occidental.

Plaridel is a third class municipality located up north the province of Misamis Occidental. With its location, the post of Plaridel is usually the gateway from the Visayas to Mindanao via ferry or boat.

Currently, there are two ferry companies that have trips between these destinations. These are OceanJet and Lite Ferries. For complete details about these services, please see below.

 

OceanJet: Tagbilaran to Plaridel, Misamis Occidental

OceanJet is a leading ferry company that has services focusing in the Visayas region such as Cebu, Bohol, Dumaguete, Siquijor, and others. After many years of operations, they have also expanded in Mindanao. One of its popular routes is Tagbilaran to Plaridel. OceanJet has one daily trip from Tagbilaran to Plaridel which departs the Tagbilaran port at 8:00 AM and arrives at Plaridel Seaport at about 11:30 AM. Travel time for this is 3 hours and 30 minutes.

OceanJet Reminders

1. It is required for passengers to present their valid ID’s upon check-in. No ID to present, no check-in.
2. Ticket is non-transferable. Presented valid ID’s should match the passenger’s name as encoded on the ticket.
3. At least 30 minutes before departure time is required for passengers to check-in.
4. To check-in, you have to present a PRINTED hard copy of the ticket emailed to you.
5. Each passenger is allowed to bring one ( 1 ) hand-carried baggage upon check-in.
6. Bringing of pets is allowed if the pets are securely put inside a cage. Upon check-in, a permit from the Bureau of Quarantine must be presented for passengers with pets.
7. Open-Air Tickets for all Passenger types are Non-Refundable
8. Discounted fares for Senior Citizens, PWD, Student and Children are not available online. Please buy your tickets at the Ticketing offices to avail of this.
9. For bookings paid after 9:30PM, your tickets will be emailed to you the following day.
10. For Online Booking Refund, 40% will be deducted to the ticket value either departed or voyage to be departed.
11. Inclusive of Terminal Fee for Cebu Port (P25.00) and Tagbilaran Port (P20.00)

 

Lite Ferries: Tagbilaran to Plaridel

Lite Ferries Shipping is another company that has trips from Tagbilaran to Plaridel, Misamis Occidental. This company focuses on services within Visayas and Mindanao. Lite Ferries’ ships are known as RORO, so they can also accommodate vehicles aside from passengers.

This is a good option if you travel with your vehicle, exploring Visayas and Mindanao.
