We arrived at Sitio Liwliwa, San Felipe, Zambales after a 4-hour trip from Manila. We checked in at The Glamp – a glamping site which was also the venue of the Surf and Glamp Adventure program launch of DOT Region 3.
Shall I say, I was impressed; from the spacious green outdoors to the towering trees that surround the area. I admit that I was a bit excited to explore the glamping site but we have to join the program first.
The idea of glamping (or glamorous camping) has become more popular as more travelers seek comfort while camping.
I’m a backpacker and a camper too, especially during my younger years, but that doesn’t mean I will say no to comfort if it’s available. In fact, I will embrace it with open arms. Haha, And with my experience with The Glamp, I think I might do some glamping more often.

The Tents
There are only 6 tents in the area. So it’s assured that you’ll have all the privacy and peace during your stay.
We were assigned to Tent 4 which can accommodate up to 5 people. Fellow content creators; Marky, JC, and Ambo were my roommates, or shall I say tentmates. It was air-conditioned with comfortable mattresses, and bedding.
Comfort rooms are also assigned for each tent, so you don’t have to queue if you need to use the bathroom. It’s another plus point when it comes to convenience.
The Food
We experienced having lunch and dinner at The Glamp. They offer sumptuous Filipino food. I really liked the Sinigang, fish, and vegetables during our lunch.
As for breakfast, they have a variety of meal options. I decided to go for the Hungarian sausage with a sunny side up! I’m satisfied with the generous serving. And If one cup of coffee isn’t enough, you can have more!
The Glamp Zambales prides itself on providing a delightful dining experience, with meals prepared using premium ingredients. Breakfast features plated rice meals with unlimited coffee, ensuring a hearty start to your day. The alfresco dining area serves a range of delicious options for lunch and dinner to satisfy your cravings.
Amenities
Glamping would not be glam without some excellent amenities. They have a dining area, lounge, baths, bonfire set-up, and s’mores kit.
The staff set up the bonfire at night, and there’s also an outdoor movie night for everyone to enjoy.
Surfing and other activities
The Glamp is just a 10-minute walk from the famous Liwliwa Beach, so beach surfing and other beach activities are just within your reach.
That afternoon, we explored the beach while munching some delicious tacos and sweets from Taco Joint and Sunny Corner.
Aside from surfing, there are still many activities to try like beach volleyball and football. I tried playing football with the locals and pros in the area. It was exhausting. Running on the sand will drain your energy faster. Plus you know, I’m overweight too. Haha.
Despite the shortness of breath, I enjoyed playing football. I liked it too much that I might challenge Messi next time. joke! Haha.
If you want to party, the Glamp is just a stone’s throw away from the beach parties. We experienced partying at Bali of Liwa and another beachfront site nearby. We had a blast. The best thing is that after all the activities of the day, we know that we have a relaxing and comfortable place to sleep at night.

The Glamp is truly what glamping is all about. That’s it. That’s the verdict. I enjoyed my stay at this glamping site because I could experience the best of both worlds – the adventure of camping and the comforts of city life.
