AirAsia rebrands its SuperApp to AirAsia MOVE

AirAsia has launched a new chapter in its digital journey by rebranding its super app to AirAsia MOVE, accompanied by a fresh look on both the App Store and Play Store. The revamped app continues to serve as the primary platform for booking AirAsia flights, offering the best prices alongside the airline’s website, airasia.com.

Aiming to enrich travel experiences, AirAsia MOVE introduces a community-led approach with engaging features such as airasia chat, games, gifting, and a comprehensive loyalty program. While the app’s layout currently remains the same, a future makeover is on the horizon to enhance the user experience further.

Loyalty remains a key component, with the customer redemption process for AirAsia Points for products and services on the app staying the same. An updated app icon and name on the Huawei App Gallery are also in the works, signaling the beginning of a series of planned improvements aimed at uplifting the traveler’s journey.

Nadia Omer, CEO of AirAsia MOVE, expressed excitement about the app icon’s upcoming update, marking it as the first step in a series of enhancements designed to introduce new products, services, and deals to elevate the travel experience.

Despite the rebranding, the core functionalities of the app, including booking flights, hotels, rides, managing bookings, and connecting with fellow travelers, remain intact. The rebranding and transformation into AirAsia MOVE were unveiled as part of a larger initiative in September 2023 to transform airasia Digital into MOVE Digital (MOVE).
