ESCALA TAGAYTAY: Stay with the best view of Taal

Overlooking the Taal Volcano and Taal Lake to its south, Laguna de Bay in the east, and Manila Bay in the north, it’s no question why Tagaytay is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines.

Nestled atop the Tagaytay Ridge at the rim of the Taal Caldera, the eastern and southern portions of the city is dotted with mountains and hills attracting adventure-seekers, climbers, and the likes. Tagaytay is also dubbed as the second summer capital of the Philippines, thanks to its unique geography and high elevation that make the city cool throughout the year. Located just a few miles away from Metro Manila, it offers a quick getaway to everyone who wants to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the metro.

With its proximity to the capital, cool weather, and seemingly endless must-see spots, it’s no surprise that Tagaytay has tons of options when it comes to accommodation. From affordable to top of the line luxury hotels, the city is home to hundreds of accommodations that could cater to anyone who wishes to explore Tagaytay. One of them is Escala Tagaytay. This chic and modern hotel effortlessly combines luxury and comfort without breaking the bank.

LOCATION

Its prime location allows it to have panoramic views of the Taal Lake and Volcano as well as the mountains of the neighboring province of Batangas.

Located along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway, the hotel is very accessible and near other tourist spots in the city, making it an ideal spot for anyone. It is a few minutes away from Sky Ranch, Caleruega Church, Summit Ridge Promenade, as well as the conveniences of the city such as banks, hospitals, and markets.

Escala Tagaytay boasts 60 rooms in total, each equipped with top-of-the-line amenities and facilities. Each room has its private balcony giving guests unprecedented and breathtaking views of its surroundings.

Their Deluxe Premier room offers the same intimate feel as the Deluxe room except for the private balcony that provides a partial view of the Taal Lake this time. The Premier room offers a bit more space. It has 39 square meters of floor area and is equipped with one queen bed and one double-sized bed, making it ideal for a small group of friends or a small family looking for a place to decompress and relax.

The Cellar Premier Suite has a total area of 70 square meters with four double beds, geared towards larger groups. Its private balcony offers a view of the gorgeous gardens of the hotel. For guests who have a bit more to splurge, the Executive suite is the perfect choice. The room boasts 79 square meters of floor area, one king bed and one queen bed, a separate bathtub and shower, and a seating area. On top of all that, its private balcony gives an unobstructed view of Taal Lake.

For an unforgettable family retreat, the Family Prestige suite hits all the right spots. It has a whopping 106 square meters of floor area, four double beds, a bathtub, and a balcony with a full view of Taal Lake. If that is not luxurious enough, the Prestige suite will definitely live up to expectations. It is similar in size to the Family Prestige suite, but the Prestige suite only has one king bed and floor-to-ceiling windows so that the scenic Taal Lake view is visible even in bed.

It’s something to marvel at the view from the comfort of your private balcony, but it is another to enjoy the view while plunging in the pool. The best thing about the infinity pool, aside from the fact that it lights up at night, is that it is temperature-controlled. It means that you can still go for a dip even if the morning breeze is sometimes unforgiving.

They also have a fully equipped gym to get your sweats on in the morning or before bed. Their Vedere Spa also offers a variety of treatments perfect for soothing your aching muscles and backs.
