Four Days of Festivities
The festival spans four days, starting on January 18 and ending on January 21. Each day is packed with exciting events and competitions that showcase the beauty of nature and the creativity of the people of Guiguinto.
On the first day, the festival kicks off with a Garden Competition, where the town’s best gardeners compete to create the most stunning displays of plants and flowers. It’s a beautiful sight to behold, with vibrant colors and intricate arrangements that leave you in awe.
Day two brings even more excitement with events like the Bulaklak ng Halamanan, Bird Show, and Yeba ng Halamanan. There’s even a Car Show for those who appreciate a different kind of beauty. But what really caught my attention was the Hari and Reyna ng Halaman, a plant-themed pageant that crowned the festival’s king and queen. The creativity and passion that went into the costumes and performances were truly impressive.
The third day is all about movement and celebration, with Indakan sa Kalye (street dancing) and the Parada ng Karosa (float parade). The energy is contagious as the community comes together for the Sundaluhan with surprise artists and the Grand Showdown, where participants give their best performances. Finally, on the last day, the festival wraps up with a variety of events, including Iskolaran, Padyak Sikad, and a Dog Show. The Gawad Guintong Halaman honors the best gardens, while the Ulat ng Bayan and Musikahan sa Halamanan with a Ben&Ben concert bring the festivities to a grand close.
