Movida Fashion Food + Club in Poblacion, Makati

I traveled all the way from Cavite to Poblacion, Makati to try this newest restaurant in the area.

When I arrived, I saw some of my fellow bloggers taking photos of food on top of a table placed beside the restaurant’s wide door, probably to get the best lighting.

I was impressed with the food plating and presentation. It is understandable that majority of establishments are focusing on the taste, but this restaurant is successful in achieving to have the best of both worlds – great food and aesthetic presentation.

This is Movida Fashion Food + Club located at P. Burgos St., Poblacion, Makati. With its name, you’d instantly understand what’s behind the brand. It’s all about serving the best food, done and served in a creative and Instagram-worthy manner.

Smoked Salmon Salad

They served us with almost everything they have with sushi and more salads for appetizers. Then followed by the main dishes with generous servings. Some are popular dishes but done with the Movida brand of a creative modern twist.

Since I am for carbo-loaded food, I loved the Truffle Mushroom Fettuccine, an Italian meal with the right blend of creaminess and aroma.

Another favorite is the Grilled Cheesy Sandwich with tomato salsa. It’s filling and satisfying. You can have the option of pairing it with tomato or eat it with pasta which what I did.

Lamb chops is also interesting, and something new for meat-lovers out there. It’s a must-try, with salmon dishes like Smoked Salmon Salad and Salmon Tataki. Delicious.

I like finishing off a meal with some healthy-goodness dishes like salads which Movida also has many offerings. Desserts are also something to look forward to at Movida, blueberry cheesecake is my favorite.

I got the chance to chat with Ido Guverich, the co-owner of Movida. He explains that the restaurant is a fusion of  wide array of dishes and influences from Spanish, Mediterranean, and Japanese to mention a few.

Movida is open from 11 am to 2 am which serves delectable, and filling dishes for lunch and snacks. Then turns into a hip club at night with live bands and performers. And did I mention that they also have a wide selection of drinks? perfect to chill and relax with their spacious area.

Ido shares that everyone should check out and experience their Latin and Pop hit music every Wednesday night. On other days, they offer different performers for rock & roll and acoustic genres.
