SteamPunk is known for having one of the best burgers in Boracay. That’s probably the reason why the Azalea Boracay Team brought us to this burger joint for our dinner. It was our first day on the island and honestly, I also look forward to exploring more of Boracay especially its food.
We walked at the popular D’Mall at station 2 until reaching SteamPunk. The restaurant is just small and simple but it has this industrial, rustic vibe.
SteamPunk actually started out as Bite Club – a burger joint in Quezon City – until transferring to Boracay. With all the restaurants and fastfood chains popping up on the island, SteamPunk has remained one of the favorite choices among burger-lovers on the island, especially among tourists.

SteamPunk has become more popular for their signature Triple X Burger (Php 695). They even launched a challenge about it – The Triple X Burger Challenge. It’s simple, try to eat the whole burger in less than 5 minutes. It sounds easy for some food-lovers but more challengers confessed – the burger is just too huge and meaty to consume within the time limit.
If you want a smaller burger, SteamPunk offers more variety like Angus Burger and Chori Burgers.
Chori Burger or chorizo burger has clearly made an impression among customers probably because it is quite unique. It is made with BBQ glazed chorizo, fried onions, whipped cream cheese with cabbage slaw as side dish.
For those who are going to SteamPunk during dinner and want a heavy rice meal, they also offer some rice selections like Jerky, Bulgogi, and Com tan. I ordered Jerky – roasted chicken with bean rice with pineapple habanero relish and boiled egg. I am still confused why they called this Jerky because I know what Jerky is and this is just an ordinary roasted chicken. Nevertheless, it still tastes good but nothing spectacular.
We also ordered fruit shakes and milkshakes. These are refreshing drinks after a heavy burger and rice meal dinner. Probably one of the good things about SteamPunk is that all its ingredients are sourced in-house, ensuring distinct taste and freshness that is truly SteamPunk. Although one of the possible challenges for this is being unable to keep up with the demand that sometimes some burgers are not available, leaving customers with lesser options. There were some burgers that weren’t available when we visited. This is just a normal challenge for any restaurant that I know SteamPunk can easily resolve.
At the end of the dinner, I can say that we were satisfied with the food and the conversations we’ve had over dinner. It was the overall experience that matters at the end of the day. It’s a little bit pricey, but hell what do you expect from a top tourist destination like Boracay, so better be prepared when you travel to the island.

How to get to SteamPunk Boracay?
SteamPunk Boracay is located at the famous D’Mall at Station 2. From the entrance near the Budget Mart, just walk inside D’Mall. Turn left when you spot Rudy Project, then walk straight until you find SteamPunk Burger. This is just near or in front of Lemoni Cafe and Restaurant.
