In my usual walk around my area here in Gen. Trias, I discovered another coffee shop in Pasong Kawayan 2 named CofTea Cafe.
It seems that there are many cafes in this area since it’s a hub for people taking public transportation to subdivisions and different barangays. Plus, there’s also a large high school here.
CofTea is a tiny cafe located on the second floor of a 2-story building. You won’t notice it instantly unless you approach the structure or check out the second floor. Well, I stumbled upon it while searching for another caffeine fix aside from the ones I’ve tried in the area, like Kanto Kaffee.
So, I climbed to the second floor and entered the cafe. It’s small, with only two tables inside and one on the balcony. But the limited space is compensated for by the nice white design. It’s all white with minimalist decor like photos and quotes.
The staff was friendly and greeted me as I placed my order. I checked their menu, and to my surprise, the coffee and other offerings were quite affordable, within the 50 pesos price point for a Large Iced Coffee.
They offer cafe lattes, frappes, and fruit teas. Since I was in the mood for coffee, I ordered an Iced Caramel Macchiato, but it wasn’t available, so I tried the Salted Caramel instead.
As I waited at my table, I admired the white minimalist design.
CofTea Experience
After a few minutes, my order was ready. I returned to my table and tried the iced coffee. Hmm, it was nice. For such an affordable price, I could taste the coffee, and it was pleasantly sweet. This kind of cafe is targeted towards students, as the majority of the customers are students. The coffee and drinks are affordable.
For me, I just needed some coffee. I didn’t expect my experience to be overwhelming or life-changing. Haha, as long as it tastes good and I can get my caffeine fix at a very affordable price, I’m cool with it.
One nice thing happened that day: my list of coffee options while walking in the area got longer with the addition of CofTea.
