It was early morning when we arrived at Laoag International Airport. Looking at our itinerary, I realized that we were in for a jam-packed adventure touring the Ilocos Region over the next two days. DOT Ilocos Region organized this fam tour and I felt privileged to be part of it as an invited travel blogger.
Considering our busy schedule ahead, a satisfying breakfast seemed important, right? What better way to kickstart our day than visiting Cafe Luca at Sola Hotel in Laoag?
Cafe Luca, which opened in 2019, has quickly become a favorite dining spot for many visitors in Ilocos Norte. The restaurant offers a variety of Ilocano dishes, some with a twist from popular local and international cuisines.
When in Ilocos Norte, indulging in their famous Ilocos Longganisa is a must. We also explored other options on their breakfast menu, such as Bangus and tapa.
Arriving in Laoag around 6 AM, we truly appreciated the hotel staff’s dedication in preparing our meal early. They were ready to assist us upon our arrival, allowing us a moment to capture some photos of the restaurant’s well-designed interior before our food was served.
Cafe Luca serves as the in-house restaurant of Sola Hotel. As we admired the restaurant and the hotel’s facade, I couldn’t help but think about the possibility of staying here in the future. The hotel exudes a sense of elegance and style. However, our tour of Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte would take us to different locations. Nevertheless, if I ever find myself back in Laoag, Sola Hotel would be my preferred accommodation.
And then, our food arrived. We opted for a variety of breakfast dishes, with many of us choosing the Ilocos longganisa and bangus meals. My breakfast was satisfying, especially with a steaming cup of coffee.
Morning coffee truly elevates my breakfast experience. Overall, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast, providing us with the energy needed to embark on the adventure-filled itinerary ahead. Indeed, it was so nice to be back in Ilocos Norte.
