Let’s accept the fact that as much as we love traveling, there are some downsides to it like delayed flights, too much waiting time, and some unexpected problems. Just like life, travel is not always about rainbows and butterflies.
Despite this unexpected stress, we need to face it. We also need to relax and still savor the moment. Just like during the time when I was traveling to the island of Samar (Philippines), the bad weather caused delays and we were stranded at the port for more than 5 hours. During this time, what other things that you’ve got to do except wait? You can actually do something to kill time like browsing the internet, but I wanted something that will completely make me relax and at least relieve the stress caused by this inconvenience. I want something that will make me enjoy and at the same time kill time. I want to just make time fly until such time that it’s time to board the boat and go on with my travel.
To be able to experience this, I need to do something that I truly enjoy. One of my favorite things to do during my free time is to play online video games. But there is something different about me. We just have to do what we enjoy to endure the long waiting times while traveling. As for me, it’s playing video games. I’ve already been exercising my competitiveness at work and in life as a whole. I don’t need it while playing video games. At the end of the day, I want my games to be simple, enjoyable and something that brings joy to my heart.
