It all started in 2012 when the owners of Lola Nena’s decided to recreate its delicious family recipe of Pichi-pichi. This gelatinous dessert became a hit among family and friends that they thought of taking a chance by making this a full-time business.
They opened their first branch in Quezon Avenue, and then as the saying goes – the rest is history. Over the years, more pastries and Pinoy comfort food were added to the menu like pancit, siopao tostado, cheese donuts, palabok, and many more.
Lola Nena’s has truly captured the hearts of many Pinoys as its succeeding offerings proved to be a big hit. In 2017, they launched the old-fashioned cheese donuts which its patrons really loved. Many customers are saying that the donuts reminded them of the “kanto-style” donut which was popular during the 80’s and 90’s.
But that didn’t stop Lola Nena’s from bringing something new and even taking its food offerings to a higher level. In the middle of the pandemic in 2020, many customers were asking for extra cheese in their donuts. So they came up with the Tripple Cheese Donuts! That’s the good thing about listening to your customers, right?
Today, Lola Nena’s has 25 branches in and around Metro Manila. In the middle of the lockdown, they opened 5 branches located in Cavite, Pampanga, Valenzuela and Cainta, Rizal.
