After more than 10 hours of travel from Manila to Isabela, we finally arrived at Mango Suites in Cauayan City, our hotel for our trip to the province.
Although much of the events we covered during the Bambanti Festival took place in Ilagan, I’m glad we stayed in Cauayan, which is just 20 minutes away from the capital. The city has a relaxed vibe, and Mango Suites proved to be a perfect fit for us, catering to both our work and leisure needs.
Arriving at Mango Suites in the evening, after having dinner at Meraki Garden in Reina Mercedes, presented a challenge managing the check-in process for our large group. However, the staff handled it with efficiency. The waiting area provided a comfortable space for us to unwind while awaiting our room assignments. Also, a restaurant within the waiting area offered drinks and quick snacks.
Mango Suites is a boutique hotel tailored to the modern lifestyle of its guests, primarily business travelers, but also accommodating leisure travelers like us. We aimed to cover the Bambanti Festival, seamlessly blending work and leisure.

The Room
I was assigned to a Deluxe Twin Room with my fellow travel blogger. It’s equipped with 2 beds and a nice bathroom. The amenities included:
– Air conditioning
– Hot and cold shower
– WiFi access
– Complimentary bottled water

We were also surprised by the welcome gift from the Isabela Provincial Office and Tourism, ensuring we had souvenirs to bring back to Manila.

The Facilities
With 90 rooms and comprehensive amenities, Mango Suites ensures a comfortable stay. The second floor has a spacious function room, ideal for events and gatherings, where we enjoyed our breakfast each morning.
On one occasion, returning to the hotel late, we still wanted to enjoy our packed dinner. We found the second-floor area perfect for our needs, offering ample space and all necessary amenities.

Located at the heart of Cauayan City, Mango Suites provides easy access to various amenities and establishments, including restaurants, banks, and shopping centers.
Although I didn’t have the chance to explore the area extensively due to our festival schedule, I was aware of the hotel’s prime location near important establishments, and even my fellow travel bloggers attested to that.
Overall, my stay at Mango Suites was delightful. Covering a festival can be exhausting, but returning to the hotel late at night was always comforting, knowing a comfortable bed and spacious room awaited.
