Last year, Cebu Pacific relaunched its Manila to Laoag route, a move aimed at strengthening tourism in the northern region of the Philippines. The local government unit (LGU) warmly welcomed Cebu Pacific’s initiative.
I was fortunate enough to participate in this flight to Laoag when I received an invitation from the Ilocos Region Department of Tourism (DOT) for a tour around Ilocos last month. Despite the early morning departure, I managed to arrive at the airport early. Below is the schedule for Cebu Pacific flights from Manila to Laoag and vice versa.

Cebu Pacific’s Schedule for Manila – Laoag Route

Living a considerable distance from the airport, I had to be at NAIA Terminal 3 by 1 AM. This early arrival was necessary due to the lack of public transportation in my area between 1 AM and 4 AM. So, I left home around 10 PM and reached the airport by 1 AM.
Cebu Pacific Flight Experience
Fortunately, I found that several of my fellow bloggers and content creators had also arrived early, giving me the chance to chat with them. I also took the opportunity to grab a morning coffee at the airport, much needed after a restless night – a common consequence of early flights when you live far from the airport. Boarding proceeded smoothly, and the plane departed promptly.
After just over an hour, we landed at Laoag Airport. It was my first time there, and I was impressed by the airport’s old yet charming design. We were warmly greeted by the staff of the Tourism Office – a delightful welcome indeed. Meeting the DOT Ilocos Region personnel, with whom we had previously interacted online, in person was a pleasure.
Next, we boarded a van that transported us to Cafe Luca in Laoag for breakfast. Despite my lack of sleep, returning to Laoag and experiencing the Cebu Pacific flight was a nice experience.
Over the next two days, we explored the Ilocos Region. Eventually, we boarded the Cebu Pacific flight from Laoag to Manila, scheduled for 6:00 AM. It was a rewarding experience to fly this route with Cebu Pacific for the first time. Undoubtedly, such services will significantly contribute to the growth of the tourism industry in the northern Philippines.
