Where to Stay in Mayoyao, Ifugao (Inns & Hotels)

During my recent trip to Mayoyao, I discovered that the town offers several excellent accommodations for visitors.

Since we traveled as a large group, we split up and lodged in various hotels and hostels across Mayoyao. If you’re planning a trip there, you’ll find plenty of options for accommodation. In this blog post, I’ll highlight some of the best choices.

1. Mayoyao View Inn

I had the pleasure of staying at Mayoyao View Inn during my visit. Luckily, our group was assigned to different accommodations, and I was thrilled to be placed in Mayoyao View Inn.

Firstly, its proximity to the plaza and municipal hall was incredibly convenient. Since we often gathered in this area during our four-day trip, it saved us from having to wake up too early or rush, as our meeting point was just a short walk away.

Staying near the center of Mayoyao means having access to everything you might need. There are stores and eateries nearby, and even the market is within walking distance. So, whether you need toiletries or food supplies, you can easily find them, as your hotel is centrally located.

Our group! Thanks so much Mayoyao View Inn.

If you plan to buy food at night, be sure to do so early, as stores tend to close a bit earlier than usual, which is understandable given that Mayoyao is a mountainous town where businesses typically close earlier.

At Mayoyao View Inn, you have a variety of accommodation options depending on the size of your group. There are rooms available for large groups, couples, and solo travelers. Plus, it boasts one of the most breathtaking views of the mountains and Mayoyao Rice Terraces.

In our case, my roommate (a fellow blogger) and I stayed in a spacious room with two beds. Additionally, there’s the option to add another bed if you’re traveling in a group of three. We opted for the mountain-facing rooms, offering stunning views of the rice terraces.

2. Mayoyao Hostel

This hostel served as the venue for the community-based workshop we attended. We also had the opportunity to have lunch there, so I have a good idea of what the accommodation offers.

One notable feature is its size; it can accommodate larger groups comfortably. So, if you’re traveling to Mayoyao with a big group, this hostel is an excellent option. They offer a range of accommodations, from dormitories to spacious rooms with multiple beds.

Dormitory rates start as low as P250 per person, while rooms can be booked for as little as P1,000 per room, suitable for 2 to 4 guests.

Mayoyao Hostel is conveniently located near Ottong Hill, where you can explore the ancient burial tombs of Mayoyao known as Apfo’or. Staying here provides an opportunity to visit this heritage site.

3. Helen Guest House

Another great option, just a 15-minute ride from the municipal hall and town center, is Helen’s Guest House. It’s a family-run establishment, offering personalized service with a warm touch. They can even prepare meals for you if reserved in advance, and it’s situated near the mountains and rice terraces.

They offer a variety of accommodations suitable for large groups, couples, and solo travelers. This is particularly ideal for solo adventurers seeking peace and serenity.

While there are numerous hotels, hostels, and accommodations in Mayoyao, these are the ones I highly recommend. For further assistance with your travel plans to Mayoyao, please contact the Municipal Tourism Office below.
