Admit it. If we’re looking for a weekend getaway near Manila, there’s one destination that we usually think of – Batangas.

Why not? This province in the southern part of Metro Manila has it all. Just like SM, Batangas ha got it all for you. LOL! Batangas has beautiful beaches, historical sites, mountains, and stunning landscapes. All of that for just 2 to 5 hours from Manila, depending on which town in the province, you’re going to – Laiya San Juan, Lipa, Nasugbu or Batangas City? Each town or city has its own unique flavor and identity.

If you’re looking for pristine beaches, Laiya in the town of San Juan is the first that comes to mind. I’ve been to San Juan many times during summer vacation when my friends would want to go to a beach which is near Manila.

The churches of Taal and nearby towns are some of the best heritage sites in the country. While if you’re looking for good food, Batangas has the best lomi!

So, it seems that you’re thrilled to plan your trip to Batangas. I guess it would be better to have your own car going there for a hassle-free trip, but in case you need to commute, there are a lot of bus companies that travel to Batangas. Here are some.

ALPS The Bus Inc. is another bus company that has daily trips going to Batangas. Alps is known for having services to the south of Metro Manila, to Batangas until as far as Bicol Area. They have terminals in Cubao, Alabang, Lipa, Batangas City and San Juan, Batangas.
