Batangas is an ideal summer destination near Manila. The province boasts some of the finest beaches in the country, making it perfect for family outings or gatherings with friends. I’ve been an avid traveler to Batangas and have enjoyed its pristine beaches, especially in Laiya, Nasugbu, and Lian.

Some of my favorite beach resorts, including Sabangan Beach Resort, Acuaverde, and La Luz, are located in Laiya. I’ve written separate blog posts about these resorts on this blog.

The beaches in Batangas vary in character — from pristine white sands to rugged, rocky terrains for those seeking adventure. The province comprises 34 towns and cities, and many coastal areas, offering excellent beach destinations for all types of visitors.

Batangas also serves as a haven for history and heritage enthusiasts. The province is home to several ancient churches that attract both students and history lovers. And let’s not forget the culinary delights. Make sure to try the Batangas Lomi on your visit!

I had the pleasure of staying at Sabangan Beach Resort, and I am delighted with the experience. As part of a group of friends, we stayed in Acacia Loft B. I was impressed by the homey yet stylish design of the house, as well as the spacious area downstairs, which was perfect for chatting and enjoying drinks with friends.

The food was also exceptional. I particularly enjoyed the Filipino cuisine, finding the dinner menu more appealing than lunch. Additionally, having a nice coffee in the morning while sitting on their veranda, overlooking the beach, was a delightful experience.
